Edit by N V: If you see the "Authentication" message, DO NOT give away your username and password. At the moment us moderators do not know what it is. I (N V) have already contacted an admin about this, but so far there are no info on what or why we're getting this.

Do you also get the "Authentication" message from Lewt every time you refresh the page on this site? It asks for your username and password, do NOT give it away!

I just started getting it 5 minutes ago! What is all that about? Seems very hack-ish to me!

This may be terrible but I actually laughed when it popped up because it reminded me of the days when all the oldies griped about this place being run by lewt and how it was really lewt.com instead of d2.com.

But anyways I didnt give any info out.

looks like im changing my email password aswell hehehe

yeah i thought it really was from lewt.com and entered my pass it happened to be the same as my email so i decided to change it thanks for letting us know

It looks as if it might be some sort of hack. Like a phishing one. It is probably used to get your user id and pass and somehow might be able to get onto your computer through the ip address and get personal info and other passwords and such for other sites.

My suggestion is to do a full virus scan on your computers right away.

As suggested, run a full virus scan and change passwords to any account using the same password you entered here. If the virus scan turns up something, change all passwords to all important accounts you have.

And as far as I know, no luck yet. But we'll keep you posted on the topic.

For my part i think there must be a user on this site, NOT an active one, but someone passive who has joined and it might be a hacker of some sort.

My suggestion is that we moderators start to ban all users with zero posts starting from those who joined the last.
