How To Transfer Character To Another Computer?

hi guyz, i'm really new to this game. and i was just wondering, how do i copy or transfer my Diablo 2 LOD character from one computer to another.

my current computer is too slow and i want to transfer my character to a faster computer. i really hope you could help me out. thanks in advance

Well, first off, welcome to the forum. Second, if you're playing on bnet you don't need to transfer anything but make sure that D2 and the expantion are loaded on both computers. Then you can put the LOD disc into either one and play on bnet still using the same toons.

Or you can try and get a zip disc and copy all your files from D2 onto it and xfer it over to the other comp into the D2 folders there. Either way, you need to have it loaded onto both comps.

And even then there is no garantee that it will work.

If you are single player, if it comes down that you can't transfer your char and your items, you can still transfer your items via internet. Send it to someone trusted on this site and have them send it back to a new char...

I am scared. Too slow for diablo II means older than a pentiumII 266 (which is the computer I first ran DII on, and threw away). Either that or you have major virus issues.
