i kno that gheed's fortune is a ladder only charm. is it like anni and torches of which u find it in a special place or is it just luck???

It can drop from various monsters, it's not like torch/anni.

There's no special place, but I think it can drop from Act 5 NM, upward.

I have to ask how you know it's ladder only because I can't find anything that says that so this is a huge shock to me. I don't play non-ladder very often but I never knew that.

Gheed's Fortune = Ladder only but drop in SP as well, NM onwards.

Anni = Special monster called Diablo clone. It will appear when a certain amount of SoJ is sold to merchant and the first unique monster you meet in the game will be him.

Hellfire Torch = drop in Uber Tristram, together with the red herring Standard of Hero.

The only stipulation on Gheed's Fortune on the AS is "(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)"
In other words, it's stated as being available in non-ladder.

According to the ATMA drop calculator NM Baal & Nilly have a reasonable chance to drop it, and a number of other NM monsters have a slight chance too.
