Anyone Runnig Diablo on Linux?

I have the game running great but ther are a few minor issues with the way the game is interacting with my windows emulator, Ubuntu is my os and WINE is the emulator.....like I say the issues are minor anyone have exp. with this setup?

Could you give more details on your problems? :) What are those "minor issues"? Wine is generally not the best option for gaming (Cedega is best but you have to pay for it :P)... but it can be done.

Pay for an emulator ? The option never realy crossed my mind....but for the time being I am stuck with wine , so here are a couple of issues I having ....trying to play the game in a custom size window vs- full screen, it just wont work, and switching from diablo to the desktop durring a game, but I think these relate to the way wine interacts with linux, any ideas?

Thanks for the plug, MadMardigan, however, I don't have much experience with gaming with Linux. As Linux is a fine OS in its own right, it has a very specialized clientel and, although it provides a good gaming platform, it is best suited for server applications.

Anyway, not to bore any of you with gory details, one of the techies suggested this link (http://www.frankscorner.org/index.php?p=diablo2). Here you will find some good documentation on running D2 with Wine.

can anyone tell me why i cant alt -tab on my Mac during d2?
Im running Leopard on an Intel Imac(tho i had issues with the video on this machine).
My old PPC G-5 worked perfect......

Try command + m, makes d2 go in a window and you can open other applications.
