Problems connecting to USE Server

Just to let everyone know that there appear to be problems related to connecting on USEast. From what I read, I am able to gather that there was a server crash yesterday evening. I can't connect this morning so I expect that the server problems have persisted.
Apparently this is only affecting USEast and not USWest or Europe.

i have read the same thing. apparently it also affects the East realm on Warcraft 3.

there have been reports of people having their char/accounts being rolled back so far as 6 months =/

Bah, I can't log in either this a.m. Surely they have backed-up accounts more recently than 6 month?

im not sure. at least 1 member on a different forum said he got rolled back 6 months. if it was a joke or not i cant tell. others have reported that their lvl 80ish char was rolled back to 40ish. i will find the threads i read and post the links.

If they do rollback, this is the part where I quit. :/

I just started up again in december 8th, i think, after a 3 year break. and so, if a 6 month rollback were to come around, my account wouldn't exist, nonetheless have bad gear and lower levels on it again...

its not certain you will be rolled back 6 months. as i said, if its true or not i have no idea, and i have only read 1 post with a guy saying it happened.

the only reason blizzard keeps battlenet running is because they get more than enough money from WoW fans

Yea, that and they need to keep their fan base around. If the fans move onto other games then they might not come back when blizzard releases new versions of the old games (i.e. Starcraft 2).
