hey i have to disagree with that, hero editor is a perfect way to test a build before actually making it, especially for multiplayer. If you can use the advanced controls on it you can even work with certain end game items as well, just dont fall in to temptaion and make super goldy items that you'll never find on bnet.

sa for me i have a lvl 74 necro that im trying to max, and if i can find a lower str requirment pride polearm id be all set. the one i made, my merc wont be able to use i dont think. used the wrong host item for it.

Sure, i don't mind people using HeroEditor for testing, but when they do post godly items in the item-find-thread (not after the reset) Or posting chars up to lvl98 in the lvl99-thread when some people just using heroeditor to fix that lvls.. That's the thing i hate with hero editor, not the other.. :)

now i think hell andy is a better place to farm soj than nm andy..

i got ik soul cage off hell pindele after about 50 runs with about 850% mf on single player a but i deleted the character that found it and remade her she is lvl 93 now. but will have the same 850% mf when she hits lvl 99

You were just lucky :) With 850% MF your chance to get a IK SC from Pindle is 1:6766.

I have 405% MF with the gear I use. So the chances for me to get one is 1:7626. But you shouldn't count too much on the drop rates anyway. MF is pure luck. Just as an example... I have already found 2 M'avina's Caster (Bow) on my Pindle runs which have a drop chance for me of 1:11182.

currently playing SP version 1.07. I have a lvl 78 barb that i beat Baal hell with @ lvl 75. He is a combo frenzy and ww barb. All i can say is that crushing blow is the bomb in version 1.07 i only have 60% C.B. but taking away 25% of life at a time is nice. Think it only took about 10 hits on Baal to kill him.

TO vampires have great walking speed (same as running), but somehow, they have poor kicking speed so popping up those jars/urns are a pain..

as for playing 1.07, it's all about preference. it's more challenging, yet the rewards can be very worthwhile.. here are some items that own in 1.07..

thus, she'll be an easy kill for your merc. you just support him by killing surrounding mobs =)

countess run is a little slow with a orballer though, and it's allways boring to let your merc kill bosses.

You can take down Hell Baal in no time ;)

I started two days ago on a poisonmancer, level 39 now (just three left until I can use the PnB skillers I found with my other chars)

for me a clay golem worked fine on a fishymancer. Just put on point in it, and your gear will boost its life (mine has about 5k life).


my poisonmancer just hit lvl 43, so now equipping homonculus and my skillers, so the poisonnova dmg is up to 1.7k over 2 sec. (works nicely in normal, now going to test it in nightmare)

For bosses the Clay Golem is definitely the best choice.

For the rest of the game I'd say take the one that you like the most. Last time I played a fishymancer I used a Blood Golem for all non boss encounters. But that was mainly due to my rushing play style which leads to getting some dmg from time to time and with the Blood Golem I didn't need to use pots all the time.

The Fire Golem is also a good choice. The only negative thing is that it's not affected by amp dmg. About the Iron Golem... well here the problem is that you have to craft it out of an item so if you switch to a Clay Golem for bosses you'll lose him. My suggestion is that if you want to use an Iron Golem max the skill, put some additional points into Golem Mastery and use a good item like IK's Stone Crusher. Needless to say that if you chose this way you won't use a Clay Golem for bosses. Oh and last but not least using a Clay Golem for normal monsters as well as for bosses is an option as well.

About your merc... the duties of your merc as a fishymancer is to stay alive to provide your skeletons with his might aura and speed up boss fights. To stay alive he needs life leech and dmg reduction and for the boss fights some CB items will do the job.
Here some equipment suggestions:
Weapon: As Skullcaptain said Hone Sundan with ShaelAmnAmn is imo the best choice except you have an Infinity or Pride but that's not likely on SP.
Armor: I used Iron Pelt and later Gladiator's Bane due to the dmg reduction.
Helm: Guillaume's Face (for CB) or if you want to go more for survivability Crown of Thieves, Vampire Gaze or Andariel's Visage.

Still leveling my poisonmancer, hit lvl 56 just now. Poison nova dmg around 4.3k, poison explosion around 30k over 15 sec (but the explosion is only useful in mobs, in other situations my nova does the job perfectly).

Doing some tomb runs (nightmare) tomorrow. Still no problem with this build!

my javazon I started five days ago is running pretty smoothly. Ran NM meph for awhile and found decent gear, now she is lvl 76, and it beginnign of act 3 hell. This is proving to be quite difficult, considering 90% of the monsters are lightning resist...... untill this point i have encountered not a single problem. She is kind of a hybrid, using java and a little bow (GA/Freezing Arrow) need to start on my sorcy now, she should be runnign hell meph in about 4-5 days hopefully. I also found Um rune from my nm forge on my java zon =) talk about luck!

the cool thing with javazon is that you have more then just light damage, but mostly light but that makes it possible you can kill light imune monsters with a light attack:D

so, what's next for them? i'd like to see all of them get to lvl 90 (my retirement level for all my characters), but i'm feeling pretty lazy right now.

i still have 4 more characters to complete my 2nd sept.. hopefully done by the end of the year =P

well i jus got banned off of b.net for a few days so i thought hmmm y dont i jus start a 1 player game. so i made a trapsin(fire) she is lvl 33 now and i jus beat baal!!! woho.

my comp is retarded so i cant go on open b.net to trade. tht is y i am so happy i beat baal all by my self =].

if u guys have any advice of how to beat the difficulties faster and better and how i can get free things w/o goin on open b.net tht would be great. i have herd many things about atma. i dont kno wt tht is so plz help me out. thnxx =]

and Single Players have the "/players x" command. so, actually you can level up faster =)
as to trading, you don't need open bnet. all you need is atma and an email account =)

ye but hell meph is a little different, more difficuilt and better dropps. skull kills NM pindle, not that good dropp rate and easy to kill.

Im in NM atm with a LvL 56 Necro, maxed skeleton, and skeleton mastery, got 3 on CE and working on the poison nova and synergise with poison explosion. been playing all of NM with player settings on 8 going solo, get to Trav hand had to tone it down to 4 but im still goin pretty good. If i can run threw NM players = 8, Would Hell be that much more different if i went players = 1?

??? (forgot) but VIT im at 498 health W/O boosts.
and i accedently dropped 1 point in energy but hey, its just 1 point. in that wont hurt too much on stats. or i wouldnt think. i mean really only place it would end up is vit and that only give up 2 health...

I have been running mephisto in hell with my lvl 85 barb. he has 202% Mf. I have been hitting some nice drops 2 to 3 uniques at times but none seem to elite versions .... most r normal and exceptional. I have done just over 100 runs and best drop so far has been atmas scarab unique ammy.

Ive got a necro with 215 MF and ive gotten some decent drops too. right now im just collecting set items and from what i can tell some unique elites too. Only at lvl 56 so i got some work to do but dropts are commin fine i think. At least for me.

I'll be starting a HC Necro shortly, once i map skills out and get what i want for final results planned. I've only done HC 1 time and it didnt turn out too well... Hopfully i wont have much trouble this time round as i got a little more sc practice.

Ill keep it in my signature, Its easier updating that then it is posting every other lvl. besides i player 8 alot in normal and player 5 in nm, at least to the act bosses anyway. I like high lvls early, that and the drop rates are a little more friendly :D

Thx :) it actually is quite easy now that I got a Beast and with my 85 lightning res the wisps are a joke as well. Just hate all the physical immunes. Even with amp it takes far too long for my taste to kill em.

He dropped the sigons helm. All I need is the sigons belt and my set will be complete. I play 1.07 btw. I'm kind of nervous about hell since I hear .07 hell is tough.

imo blizzballer is king of dual sorcs, hands down... Between meteorb and orbballer I'd say meteorber is better, just because of how you can throw meteors down on baal runs then orb the survivors.

Update: I'm about to kill Meph... I'm lvl 81, should be a peice of cake with Charged Strike. No NDEs yet, but I've chugged a few Full Juv's since being in Hell...
Need a few Lightning Facets and I'll have awesome gear :) (Girffons and I'd have perfect gear ;)).

Another Update: When does levelling get faster in Hell Eldritch/Pindle? or is it only Pindle you can do to get a quick 90/91... I got the Frigid Highlands wp, a bit hesitant to go on, the monsters are getting harder to kill... and with all those pesky skeleton archers everywhere... I'm lvl84 atm.

Last Aldurs (the armour) is lvl 76 req. :P Thats why I mentioned only Wep. The set really sucks until you got the whole thing, then it only sucks. Too bad. But the wep is an easy find, I'm sure most people have 2 or 3 sitting in ATMA...

That is absolute best... this is what I think you should go; having a wep & shield on switch to do rabies, then switch to do fury...

Arkaines or Treachery or maybe Stone or Gloom
Jalals
6s pb(because its indestructible) or crystal sword w/ poison facets or spirit
4s monarch w/ poison facets or spirit
hardest hitting weapon available
Stormshield
dungoes etc, etc.
Maras can be +3 shapeshift w/ life or +2 druid rare


...so to conclude my long ramble, gores should be endgame anyways, and aldurs is suitable till you get better, definitely, my lvl82 rabies/fury still used it.

Today i got my rabies/fury to lvl 73 so he could use SS and all his endgame gear. Im doing 8.1-8.8k poison damage and 888 fury damage (with grief) yea you guys love me i have 4.6k def!

and with BO and oak sage on ihave 2.6 life.

I got a question should i socket the SS and put an UM in it?

if you need it asap, do it. it's so cheap. once you've found a better base shield, you can easily make another one.

Fishy is easy in hardcore, and also help you to build up confident to tackle hardcore with other builds :D

Yeah, you have a different mentality in HC; damage doesn't matter one little bit compared to resistances/defense/life. And you take a pot as soon as you are hurt, not half hp. Makes it a different game :)

Yep my last HC char was a fishy as well but I died at lvl 70ish because I became too careless at MF NM Baal. I usually play rather offensive so I thought it's best to start HC with a "secure" char.
