Help with accounts.

Welll ive been playing this game sense day 1.
I seem to quit on and off lol.
But here is my question.
I have currently built my smiter i have all his gear im wearing it. hes level 86. But i wanna to take him off the easy channel and put him on single player to play around with him.
i know u can do it. i done it a long time ago.
Can someone please tell me how to do it, i do not remember but i need to know so i can test some stuff out.

Easy channel? I never heard of that.

If your character is not now a single player character, it will never be. The character file is stored on Bnet servers and you have no access to them. Only realm characters can play on realms, single player can play thru local, tcp/ip and open Bnet.

Like i said i have done this before. Theres a converter that converts the blizzard files to normal single player ones. im just wondering if someone knows another way or they know where i can get the converter.
If u look u have data files for your players.
The converter uses those traces the logs in the game and copies them and auto adds them to single player. i just have not done that in about 4 years.
So i would like it if someone knows to post if they know how or not.
please no one else post that this cant be done.
like i said im 100% sure it can be done i have done it before.

The file in question is the d2s file which, you will notice, is not in your d2 folder, Any d2s file in that folder is a single player char.

I have never heard of such a program in which you refer, which isn't to say it doesn't exist. You seem to know the most so far and you are the one with all the questions. If you are 100% sure, then why ask?

I would submit, however, that such a program would be a hack as it would allow you to tweak your online character as you could a single player character. Discussing hacks on this site is prohibited.

Okey, on the serious side tough. I've never seen sucha program, and I dont think it exist either since it would probably be up for download at some of the Diablo Mod/Hack/Utilitie sites (Which it's not.)

There is no way of transferring a Bnet character directly to SP. All your Bnet characters are stored server side...which means that you, nor any program that you can download would have access to them.

The only way to do what you are asking is to download a a single player editor, like Hero Editor (make sure you get it from a reliable source) and edit a single player character to achieve the same gear/stats as your Bnet character.

This PROGRAM DOES EXSIST! im asking if anyone still knows where to get it. or if theres another way to do it!
What this does is not a effin hack! you log on the game makes data files in ur us east or west or watever. unhide all ur files ull see that there are files for ur bnet accounts.
This program copys the bnet and converts them to single player.
NO there is no single player converter. im sure someone has come up with one but i garenteed u would get band with in a day.

You cant get band for there you can not get in trouble is completely legit. i use to use it all the time.
Simple steps on how it works.
1.Copies your bnet files.
2. converts them to single player files.(which is only editing in a certian code that i dont know.)
3. wala you can play single player.
4. nothing that happens on single player effects ur really account on bnet! AT ALL!

Sorry, exit, I had no idea I was arguing, I was simply stating a few points to the contrary of some of your statements.
I would also suggest there are several posters here who seem to be in agreement with me, so, perhaps you need to refine you apparent anger accordingly.

If you are so certain this program exists why, then, can't you just Google for it. It seems that you may receive better results than what you have received so far.

Also, in your D2 folder, in the folder for whichever realm you are participating in, you will find files pertaining to your online character. What you will not find is the d2s file pertaining to that character. That file is stored on Bnet, period. Without that file, which contains all the data of your character, stats, items, level, etc, your character cannot play. All characters require 6 files to play, you will find there are only 5 in this directory.

I would also suggest that you learn how to spell before you ever tell me what I know and do not. It will add to your credibility, which lessens with every post you make.

^^wow.. people are trying to explain nicely to you that such methods do not exist (at least legally) and here you are insisting that it does.

if you are from this forum or have played this game long enough you should know as well. ask around any other forums and you'll probably get the same answer.

it's pointless to ask for help when you don't want to accept it.

EDIT: if whatever methods you're saying is available, how come there aren't any annis/torches swimming around in SP (unless you use plugy mod)?

I've thought the same way about saving my bnet characters when I quit playing on Bnet, but that's just impossible as stated above...
I think the only way is having a friend among bnet server administrators, so they could send you your MightyPwner.d2s file :D
