Diablo, by far, has the best attention to detail of many games. From the skull above the wp at Travincal to the skeletons trying to crawl out of the River of Flame. There are so many small, yet, significant attributes to the artwork within the game, it becomes a pleasure just to walk around and see what else can be discovered.

All to often, when playing the game, one is so compelled to just finish the quest or find the cool items that the artwork is frequently overlooked. The character animation is basic, but the detailed artwork makes up for it. The layout team at Blizzard got this one right.

I have too many to list. I've been gaming since I was 2 years old, and have always found that a big charms from games is how they are presented in their artwork.

One that comes to mind is a game I just beat: Assassin's Creed.

On the more cartoony side, I love the old-school look of video games to most of the new stuff these days. Halo will never hold my interest as long as a good Genesis RPG.

ok gta san andreas on all systems is by far one of the greatset artwork games ever if u look hard enough u can see all sorts of odd things with animations like the wheel chair on the dock with newspaper wheels

Oh yeah, I like tlo Zelda art the best...especially TP, that game rox. Midna is awesome, and OMG i can't wait to play SSB Brawl...but yeah

When you say that I think concept art because that's my fav kind. And for the record being a concept artist is what I plan on being someday. So, I'd have to say that I'm completely obsessed with the elder scrolls oblivion concept art.

When CounterStrike Source first come out, the graphics were amazing. Still is i think if you got the rig to run it.
