Wanted Good Poisonmancer Guide

Hi folks,
I'm looking for information on building a Poison Necromancer. I'm researching it for a potential next build so if anyone has any good guides, links, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.:D

iirc there's an even more uber build whereby bramble is used in conjunction with 3piece trang's set.. it should be out there somewhere..

EDIT: here they are.. they're summon/poison hybrids but you can easily disregard the points put in summons and spend them somewhere else if you want to..

3 pieces of trangs? i will have to look up what bonuses you get, since on my kicksin i use the psn% bonus from trangs gloves without needing any other items from that set.

also as said, bramble is a great armor for psn necs.

^^3 trang's pieces as in trangs gloves (inherent +25%poison dmg) + trangs necro head (-25%enemy poison res set bonus when 3 pieces equipped) + one other trang's item (can be helm/armor/belt. people would prefer belt for cbf + other mods).

in other words, a sin can't benefit from the 3piece combo.. =)

Safety are you going PvM with this or PvP? If you are going PvM, it will have to be a hybrid due to all of the poison immunes in the game.

If it is PvP, let me know. I have some builds stored away for this.

Not really.

Low resists helps to break most of the immunities, and -psn res gear will drop it even lower, so that should not be the probel. After frist corpse - CE like crazy, and you wil be fine.

Yep agreed with laughingbuddha. Between lower resist, merc and ce you should have everything covered.

20 poison dagger
20 poison explosion
20 poison nova
1 lower resist
1 bone armor
20 bone wall
rest in bone prison

Usually that set up works well in pvm and pvp. And if worst comes to worst you have 1 point in bone spear to use (pre-req for bone prison or grab bone spirit for 1 more point), granted this isn't much damage (somewhere in the thousands with + skills) but at least it's something if all else fails and you need something to spam while merc is attacking.

Not a guide but a layout. Besides I'm sure saracen linked some good guides (I didn't check them haha).

I've never really given PvP a try. A couple fooling around sessions but nothing serious. Perhaps with a build that I am confident with I'd give it a go. I do have a couple friends with dueling experience so I'm sure that if I wanted to try PvP they would help me out. I did have an awesome Fury/Rabies build last ladder however the ladder reset shortly after I finished the build and I never got to try it.

Actually most poison immunities on the nastier monsters cannot be broken.

iirc most of the poison immune archers are breakable thru LR. the only monster that are pretty troublesome and non-breakable thru lower resist is the 2nd last baal pack.. that was one looong battle =P

Well, i just finished making my own poisonmancer and hes actually really fun. About the poison resist immunitys, only the baal minions do have the imminuty after the lower resist skill, but most of the immune monsters still take forever to kill.

Since i saw you're thread here, and also not noticing any guides around, i went and made my own real quick.

Well if you are a bit rich you can just get a death's web and the 3 piece trang set and get at least an additional -65% poison resist. That will waste most enemies and those that are really stubborn you can just CE bang them.
