1h wep and shield or 2h wep for werewolf

Whats best for a werewolf druid using a 1 handed weapon and shield or using a strong 2 handed weapon like a spear or axe?

Depends on how you play and what you are looking for out of your build ..... 1 hand weapon with a stormshield (requires quite a bit of dex for max block) but you get 35% DR as well as some resists get hit less with 1 hand weapon and shield. With 2 hand weapon you trade off gettting hit more for being able to deal out alot more damage and at a greater distance from the monsters. Personal Preference .... personally on my werewolf druid i use both 1 hand (grief Phase Blade) and stormshield as well as a 2handed polearm Tombreaver or Obedience runeword.

I know off weapon IAS does not affect werewolf ... but my Obedience is a Thresher which has -10 base attack speed. So it isnt that slow ... im not gonna try and hit the 4 frame attack much too expensive. Upped ribcracker is nice though with that 50% IAS and 50% CB.

ribcracker over that obedience any time.. having slow attacks in wereform, especially werewolf, is highly suicidal. werebears have shockwave + higher def/life to counter this. wolves depend on speed ie fury, which works in tandem with feral rage to keep that red bulb full..

i have nice ww and i personaly dont like 2 hand weapons. i wear forty for dmg and 1 hand weapon. shield give me extra resists. but mybe it is because i am to poor to ware good armor and good 2 hand weapon..
