well, let's start with the fact that some bug made the whole screen go fractal (bright colors) no matter where i was. and then, after a day, the whole game became really colorful and looks better than ever. i got no idea what happened, but it's all settled now. has this happened to anybody else?

second: I got a lvl64 kicksin with pretty good gear, not planning to use any atma or stuff (i did it for a previous character but whatever :P) just killed diablo and now i'm doing some hunting in hell before i start Act 5, cuz i find Hell really interesting to kick *** in :)
my question is: where do i have the most chance to find Lum, Fal, Ohm and Um runes? Is it in Hell, or...? I need them for my armor and the Chaos runeword. So, whose head do i need to have? :D

Well, to answer your first question.. I've never seen anything like that ^^ Must've been som glitch with your screen or software ^^ hope it stays that way!

Chance to find runes - well... Lum, fal and um, would be the Countess in hell. I've gotten all those runes off her more often that anywhere else. But Ohm, i've never found. You hear about the rare drop now and then but most that are up for sale are dupes.

The best chance to find it is actually from the High council in act 3 hell, but it is taking too much time going to and from games to kill them. So what everyone agrees on, is that if you're searching for high runes, the best way is to not search for them... just kill a lot of monsters and hope one drops...

Or trade for a duped one.. that is what everyone does.. including myself. Rappel told me once that Blizzard made the HR's too hard to get, which is perfectly true, so i agree on that one.

In hell cow level, the chance of getting a Zod rune is app 1:40 Million! beat that!

PS i got Lum on NM in the plains of despair and Fal in Act 1 Hell with my trapper, but I'm not so lucky now. ah well, got a lot more to play!
But I won't be looking for Zod. Won't do any good in my plans. :D

That all depends on your characters build/lvl and items, so a bit difficult to answer that :rolleyes:

There you go, there is always the odd find of a mid-rune in the battlefield! That is a good boost to the fun!

So you're SP. You probably know that you actually can trade with other players, but i understand if you wanna stay away from it - since it is not something blizzard enclosed in the game.. but lots of sp'ers use it..

Being and SP'er, you also lose the opportunity to make new characters and run quickly to the hellforge quests, and collect the runes that drop from it - There is a good chance of getting a good rune there, up to Gul.

@gore, you may want to check your vid card. I found out that every once in a while my comp likes to be opened and the dust blown out. Otherwise the fan flies off the vid card rendering the thing useless. Boy did that suck!

heheh nice one there :) but this is a laptop and its still considered a pretty new one.
anyway not to get out of discussion :)
about the NM Baal thing, took me around 40 secs... was lvl 69 with fists of fire maxed out, phoenix on lvl 9 for the bonus (i still think it sucks) venom lvl 15... still the main thing would be my claws' bonus - i'll post scrnshots soon. charsi's imbue on normal difficulty is still too good for any item i got till now!

i'm just before the countess on hell now and hoping to get some runes. i'll drain the life out of her 1000 times if i need to :)
