Swapping items between your characters

I read that some people do this. How? Say they find a really nice bow playing with their Barb and it does no good for them. Can you give it to another character of yours?

I have no idea if this is a hack, mod or whatever else. From the few things I've read about it, it's a standard thing to do. I hope it's not a hack, I just want to take full advantage of the game's capabilities and not have to mod it to do it.

I've picked up some great things that I had to get rid of because of storage issues. So that being said, is it possible to create multiple characters in battle.net for the purpose of storage?

Well if your playing closed battle.net then do this...

1.Create a private
2.Stay in the game for 6min. The game should be stable by then.
3.Exit and save. At this point dont drop any items.
4.Enter the game again to make sure the game is "permed"
5.If game is "permed" then go ahead and drop the items you want to xfer to another char.
6.Exit and save.
7.Bring other char and pick up items.

It is very common to make multiple lvl 1 characters and use them to store items. My last ladder session i had 9 accounts almost only with mules on, full stacked of things i never used x) Just like to feel... rich xD Rich bit*h.

But the absolute safest way is to have a trusted friend to mule with. But don't trust ppl like that. Make sure you can trust that person before transferring expensive items.

You can also use 2 accounts on your own, which includes utilizing two users on your computer. It is a little complicated, but can save you lots of hassle.

Yes you can. Here's how:

1) You need two copies of Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 LoD.

2) Install the first two copies on your normal user. Remember what you call the executive file (normally Diablo2.exe). Also remember the folder which you installed D2 into.

3) Create a new user on your computer. Also make sure you have Fast user switching selected.

4) Switch to your second user. Install the second copy of D2 and D2 LoD. But there's a catch. When you select which folder to install to, you must call the folder something else than the first folder (example: DiabloTwo). This goes for the exe.file as well.

When installed, you can open these two games and play them separately. You can enter a hell game when farming bosses with one of the characters, and kill the boss with the other, to increase drops.
And of course you can use it for muling.

I hope i described this completely, if anyone see any mistakes please correct me.

ATMA is a Mule program for single player.

it allows you to transferr an item on one of you sp characters to one of your other sp characters.

alot of the links from google partaining to ATMA are outdated or broken, it took me a good 2 days to find a link that actually worked. i think i remember the site i got mine at, if its still active and not a broken link like the others ill let ya know
