a titan build is when you put all your stat points into strength, after meeting dex requirements on your gear. it's like a glass canon amazon, but for melee characters..

normally, you'd want to use a hammer-type weapon to take advantage of the 1.1%off-weapon ed bonus per strength point. but you can still use other weapons.

conclusively, you'll have less life, but you can have higher defense (you can equip heavier armor with more def) and more damaging. =)

I have a lvl 82 titan barb. All stat points are in strength. Berserk damage is 4.6k-24k and ww damage is 3.8k-20k without merc. With might aura from merc, berserk damage is 5.3k-28k and ww damage is 4.4k-23k. Berserk attack rating is 11.3k and ww attack rating is 9.5k. With battle orders/shout my life is 1684 and defense is 19k.

In Baal runs with the cookie cutter hammer tosser's conc aura (most like likely lvl 41) I do 6.3k-33k berserk damage and 5.4k-29k ww damage.

Inventory consists of an annihlus, low barb torch, and about 10 +life small charms.

Eventually I'd like to fill up the other 20 open spaces with some FHR small charms (would really like to hit the FHR breakpoint), some resist all small charms (currently all my resists are 53 in Hell), more life small charms (good ones), and some +life skill charms.

This is the first titan that I've messed around with. I can fight during Baal runs and not die, but definitely could use some more life. I'll have to work on raising my life. I haven't done any dueling with this char, but I doubt he'd fair very well.

my recommendations..

unsocket your arreats. ed/dmg jewels are bugged when used in armor. socket it with ed/ias or ed/strength.

highlords wrath for ammy. more ds = more chance to do lots of damage. and the ias won't hurt your berserk speed.

try getting lots of vita scs in your inventory. that's probably the best way of improving your bo-able life =)

I grabbed my arreats from my uber barb (40ED/15IAS) and slapped it on my titan. Char screen shows him losing 60 to minimum dmg on both ww and berserk.
However, swapping on dual ravenfrosts and a highlords shows me getting another 60 to min dmg on berserk and 50 to min dmg on ww. Attack rating drops to 6.8k for berserk and 5.7k for ww though. The 40ED/15IAS Arreats showed lower dmg for every situation I tried. Am I missing something?

How is Deadly Strike calculated?

deadly strike is the chance to double your total damage. something like critical strike, although they don't stack with each other. the chances are counted separately.

deadly strike on gear stacks with each other. so, it's possible to get 100% ds, and actually doubling your listed damage =)
