Gear setup for a bowazon? strafe/multi

Hi all I have searched other forums but there are so many outdated guides that it's hard to filter through all of them. I was wondering if a more experienced D2 player could post a quick setup with a couple options for what gear is idea for this setup.

I haven't spent any credits/atties yet but I was thinking I would max strafe and put a few in multi to get it to 23 with + stats gear. These will be my 2 main attacks as this toon is only for PvM and I want to try both since I have never played a bowazon. The other stat points will go into the right side of passive and some in valk.

So what is the suggested setup for this type of toon? I was figuring probably fortitude and faith maybe? Stuff with crushing blow, leeches, etc.? Anyway I would much appreciate any help. Thanks!

How rich are you? Could you affort the rather expensive runeword Fortitude for example?

I can afford but I don't have the exact runes needed so it would take a little trading. A high end and medium end setup would be nice so I could mix and match until I get everything I need.

On other question. I know alot of people go "glass cannon" for pvp which is pumping dex and leaving vit at base. Is this viable for pvm too is should there be a happy medium?

all you really need for any bowa is knock back, life leach, and mana leach. For pvm I would not dump points into dex. I made a glass cannon build once, and all it took was one hit to kill me in pvm (was doing a lot of baal runs). For pvm you can use fairly cheap gear and be able to take down most monsters.

Alright i can type a short setup of viable Gear. It is what i used before the last Ladder reset. I only used Guided arrow and Multishot, but Strafe is a great skill i`ve learned, and i use it all the time now...

Faith Matriarchal bow for easy IAS Bp (Depends on lvl of Fana aura, either 45% or 50% Ias needed), Grand matron bow if you wish to max dmg (Either 95% or 100% Ias needed)
Fortitude Armor (Use the type of armor that is allowed due to your current Strenght)

If you want to easily reach the 95% or 100% Ias Bp, you can use the cheaper runeword Treachery (45% Ias, Fade) until you get the other gear you want.
Gore riders
1 Raven frost\Rare ring with w\e you need, or 2 RF`s
Cat`s eye Amulet
Rare 20Ias\3Bow\Xbow skills/stats or Laying of Hands or any gloves that gives 20% or more Ias
Nosferatu`s coil (10% Ias, Life Steal) if you wish to use GMB, otherwise Mavina`s tenet (FRW and Mana Steal), String of Ears (DR, Life Steal) .. or w\e you fancy.
For helm, again it depends on if you wish to use GMB or MB. If you want to easily reach the 95% or 100% Ias Bp, Mavina`s True sight with 15% Ias jewel in it gives another 45% Ias, in comparison with Treachery Armor will give 90% Ias.

Fortitude and Faith is more or less needed to really make a difference. It boosts dmg with 300% which is noticable.

Attributes: Firstly you need Str to equip gear. Depends on what bow and armor type you choose, either ~90 or ~110.

Dex: You would want to max this out. As an Amazon, you will likely never get hit, you will have a high lvl Valkyrie and a strong merc to take dmg for you, and if you have Faith, the skeletons that appears are actually pretty tough.

Vit: It`s either Dex or Vit. Your choice really. You won`t have the best Resistances unless you focus on having All res charms and\or Treachery. You will also need some Dex in order to use the required bows.

Ene: You will get sufficient Mana by having Mana steal, and if you don`t have enough. drinking a few pots every now and then is a part of the game... No need to waste points into Energy.

Alright that's more or less what I planned on. One last question... what skill is best for boss killing? Is strafe viable or do most use guided arrow?

Cool ;) Guided arrow is what i`ve heard, the best choice - and it`s also my number one choice for bosses, and strong single targets, or maybe even small packs.. Because it`s fun to see the arrows fly around like angry bees ^_^

Ga and strafe rules + a big strong Valkyrike ill use Both and Fortitude om my act1 Merc guess a lot of people compalain obout tha but Well i tihnk i pretty cool dough....+ Act 1 merc Doesent die so often :) But max Valkyrike.. She Rules....

why that exact equip gN? cant a setup like that work with a lower anni for example? or lower torch. or no anni/torch at all? you can t use a lower/higher ravenfrost? or is it just a listing of your own eq?

i just cant see the reason for listing specific gear like that going into the exact stats of the items. a 15/14/5 anni works too. or a 12/17 torch for example.

i dont have a torch thats lower than 19-xx
nor i have a anni thats lower than 17/15/8

so i have to use high ones. i was just telling the thread poster how he may improve. thats all. :D
