Why is my character running backwads

It started on level 19 with Paladin all on a sudden he started running backwards . I have version 1.03 I am playing this game on Vista

What kind of idot would would give a smart *** answer "Is your mouse upside down?" I may not be the brightest bulb in the pack when it comes to computers that is why I figured I could get an answer here of wether it is a glitch or to rectify the problem before I delete the game and start over

Yes moving front wards yet running backwards. The trouble shooting I have done is.... died, let the charater sit for 8 hours, pressed the windows button hpoing that would reset the prob, went into save file thinking I could maybe delete the last level, but like I know what I am even looking for, let alone doing

Without having played much, if any at all in 1.03, I would try to unequip all items and see if that has any effect. I know there is a glitch where the character will move backwards, but I don't remember the technical details behind it.

If he's moving where you want him to go I don't see the problem TBH. For realz.

Sorry, i couldn't resist. But as you are serious, i have a few questions: Does the same happen when using another character? Also, im i understanding correctly that you are moving in the direction you intend to, but facing backwards as you move/attack?

Maybe installing a patch might help:

Thank-you for all your support advice and questions. It appears the backward running Paladin is running forward now. What I did to fix this. It started in Lut Gholein Act 2 quest 3 just as I entered to battle the last snake in the snake pit to recover the headpiece. Quest 3 is now complte but Paladin is running backwards, I noticed I had 3 portals open. Two of which portal shrines and one from my inventory. These 2 portal shrines never closed and my inventory portal when quest 3 was complted . So I saved and exit when returned ,inventory, money, skills, everything was there and Paladin is running strong in the forward position, again thanks \

I really enjoy playing D2 is there any down loads for upgrades on this game or is the next step D2 expansion. I live in a po dunk town where games are not avaible any suggestions?

Installing the patches are free, (see my prior post) but upgrading to D2 expansion is a good logical step. My target store had it, but you can buy it online for like $20.
