We already have a Median 2008 thread for beginners, but this thread is supposed to be used for Median gameplay discussion, publishing your original builds or just posting some good screenshots for the heck of it. So i will start with one of my favorite Median pictures.

A question: I wonder if there is a build in Median that is able to solo ALL uberquests and levels, apart from bird thrower barb? Im talking about the Destruction diffculty, ofc.

My best so far is Invincible Fire Retaliator pala (retaliation/fire skills/lionheart/plague) who done all but the Kingdom of shadow. This one is damn hard for him because of the lack of self-healing skills. Surprisingly he is doing even better than the now gone superpowerful unholy judge, getting some problems apart from KoS only in Fautzinvill and Rathma sqare. If anyone intersted, I can post the outlines of the build.

But still, is there such an almighty build?

Yes, there is; the CTC barbarian.

Razorspine (tier 6 studded leather) + Darksprite (tier 6 spear of some sort...) =owntage. You max out conquest and lion stance, along with that...turn HMC all the way up. You run into a crowd (yes, run) and hit an enemy with conquest for hte initial 4 seconds of invulnerability, then let the CTC Unholy Armor do the rest (you need to be hit constantly to assure this will keep working indefinetly, keeping you shielded from all damage (save for poison)). While invulnerable, you will still be hit, and this will trigger razorspine's insane CTC spike nova. Even with HMC all the way up, mobs will fall in seconds. I'm able to run Rathma Square, HMC cranked all the way up, with this guy and emerge victorious time and time again! :D

Check out Aerial's post in the old Median forums over at the Phrozen Keep if you want the real guide.

I can do Rathma and Fau with my pala, the only one left if KoS.

I suggest you to just explore the game first. Maybe your first build will not be teh omg ownage, but you will need some time to get used to the mod, because its much different from vanilla LoD. And, frankly, if you are not going hard into the uderquests (and I dont advice that untill you will feel familiar with median), almost any build will do to finish the game - as long as you keep to some sort of system in progress (i.e. dont throw points all over the skill trees).

I have made two sorceresses so far. One is builded around lightning skills (Vortex as main weapon) and mana sweep. Pretty powerful, i even tried her in several uberquests. Another one in process, its not so destructive and need to made unlock attribute challenge skill to be 100% effective. - tri-elemental sorc, with Apocalypse (fire), Nova charge (lightning) and Ice elementals (uberskill, cold). Its really easy to play, lot like auradin, although not so powerful. It also tempt to be rather skill-point dependant, so you need a good gear to play that.

there are more possibility, just bear in mind that in Median almost every skill can be heavily destructive if used properly.

Ah, you made a sorc? You might run into asome trouble with them later in the game...they're rather tricky to build. May I suggest you try a blood zon next (one that focuses on the blood skills). They're very powerful and tons of fun! Basically...

Max Bloodstar
Max Bloodstorm
Max Magic Missiles
5-10 poitns in bloodlust
Max Balance
Max Paragon (And socket all items with perfect topazes)
One point in all other blood/"passive/magic" skills...you may invest several extra poitns in Defensive Harmony, or invest one point in each javelin skill to help you get through the early levels of the game, where blood skills are kind of weak.

Stat layout...

Strength - Enough for gear.
Dexterity - Enough for gear.
Vitality - None, or maybe a few poitns if you ahve trouble surviving. Paragon will take care of all of your life needs once you get it.
Energy - The rest here. Blood spells take a lot of mana to cast and receive bonsues based on your energy, so sink lots of points in here! :D

Well, there you go...best of luck with whatever you choose. :D

What do you mean by tricky? The tri-elemental I mentioned is SO easy to play. The only bad thing about it is that its a lil bit gear-dependant... So not best for starters.
