I've built many a summoning Druid, so I can say that they are not very viable past NM difficulty. I even built one w/ a maxed Fissure, it just tickled the feet of the baddies in Hell. If you are making a pure Summoner be sure to equip the best bow you can. A good druid build that does use summons as support is the Town Dump Bear build by SafetyPro, it can be found in this forum in the Druid section. It was the most fun, and viable non - elemental Druid I have done...good luck friend and don't just take my word for it...research and ask around more...

If you equip your merc with a Reaper's Toll the ctc Decrep with break many PIs, a Gavel of Pain has 3 Amp Dam charges that my be used for an emergency. A druid summoner is doable, it just takes a bit of work.

Good points-they are fun to play but take a bit more time and strategy. Definately not a build for everyone-I enjoyed it though.
