Es Lightning Sorceress- Help!

I'm making an ES Lightning Sorceress with Nova as a backup skill. This char is for PvP. The skills are 20 Telekinesis, 20 ES, 20 Lightning, 20 Nova, 20 LM.

Now to my question, My friend has built this and he uses Infinity.
Without Infinity I'm gonna do 13k lightning, which is quite bad in PvP.
Do I need Infy to be successful? Or can I do well with any other weapon?

Infy is pretty much essential because the ES/light sorc lacks damage so you need to find a way to increase your damage.

And because your low in synergies +skills to light will not increase your damage as much compared to full synergies.

You will have major problems trying to kill almost any character.

i only suggest infin on full nova sorcs. if you want perfect es (which is maxed telekinesis and maxed es btw) you should go for the 200% fcr bp and use hoto/spirit as a setup. what you lack in damage will be made up for in pure speed. eventually i will write a guide on how to build an es/light sorc with 95% es and 200% fcr (since the reset destroyed the one i used) but that will have to wait for when i get the time/desire.

yo u dont need 20 in ES my friend only has one in ES and my 13k light has to do about 10-20 hits before he is at half health cause his mana is some how 4k

Vouchies. Infinity will get you owned as soon as your opponent stacks some light res.


IMO, don't max es. With a 200fcr build and 9 skillers, you'll have +24 to lightning skills (assuming 2 skills on ammy, griffs build. This isn't unreasonable for a light sorc as you only need 10fcr on your ammy). Don't over-invest in ES, especially if you'll run out of mana anyway and still die fairly quickly (95% is only really useful if you're using an invent full of 70/15's). 85-90% is ideal, and doesn't strip down your damage too much. You ought to be able to crank out ~24-25k/850*24cb at level 90 with a 200fcr/85% ES build (22k with 90% ES, 19.5k with 95% ES).
