I've seen most guides only use CE as a support tool, I was wondering if there's a guide that focuses on CE/Golems/Curses, as I want to stay away from the poison line of spells, and the bone line of spells (i.e. skellies, bone wall, bone spear, etc.)

thanks in advance

I'd do Life Tap and Confuse as well.

Life Tap allows you to steal life for every attack you do.
(Your minions also benefit from this)

Confuse allows you to cause clusters of enemies to begin killing each other, which takes some of the pressure off your party in later difficulties of which the enemies tend to be more like swarms of angry bees, lolz.

Corpse Explosion is fun, but as a primary attack style, it's not exactly as good as you think because you have to kill enemies first to use this attack.

Yeah, I just recently returned to D2, so I'm pretty rusty.

I'm not really into ladder realms right now, I'd rather just solo for a while, and maybe play with my buddies at select times, but for the most part this is a single player character.

got him to lvl 6, so far he has:

Str: 25
Dex: 25
Vit: 30
Ene: 25

1 Amplify Damage
1 Teeth
1 Corpse Explosion
1 Clay Golem

2 Unused SPs

I'm reading up on some guides right now, but for the most part I have to piece together stuff from different ones, but it seems some of the mojomancer and possibly golemancer builds are helping out the most.

Skeletons are also good. It's useful to have at least 2-3 in this, more if you want many skeletons.

Mage skeletons as well, but you won't want more than 2-3 in mage skeletons since they are weak against melee enemies.

not a big fan of skeletons, can i make do with clay and blood golems?

since im single player and not twinking or power leveling, i figured i am trying to go with as much quick and results: hence why I am aiming for Amp/CE/Golems, all start pretty early.

Clay golem is a popular choice.

Blood golems are not so good since they share your life pool.

Iron golems are very excellent since they assume the stats and mods of whatever item you spawn the iron golem out of in addition to it's base attributes as defined by the skill.

This is particularly useful if you use aura enchanted items since the iron golem would then cast an aura enchantment over your party.

Well, since this will mostly be a single player character, the iron golem is a viable choice. Most of the items aren't necro items, and when i do play with a friend (currently, only 1 plays d2) i'm sure i won't be making golems out of what he needs.

I usually just go to the various shops and find the highest quality item with the best mods of all items located in the shops and use that for my iron golem.

Also, I like to buy the highest quality and most sockets item possible and socket gems into it for use as a golem too. The better the gems, the better the effects.

Runeword items also are good, but only advised if the runeword item is expendable. I use malice runeword flails since it is pretty easy to accumulate a number of runes from doing Adnarial runs.

you use CE maxed?

Nope. It's useful, but not that useful.

I'd rather have skeletal minions and golems, and use life tap to steal life and confuse to cause enemies to fight each other while me and my minions bring down the hammer on them all.
