Alright, I got a few questions about my build. So Far here is what I have.

20 SM
20 RS
10 Summon Resist
10 CE
5 Amp Damage
5 Lower Resist(For Sorc Friend)

Well, what my dilemma is, is that I am considering a Clay Golem as a minion, but I can't decide the ratio I want for Golem:Mastery. I doubt I will Max either, but what do you guys think?

Have a look at a skill planner, there are at least two that I know of, and start plugging in values to see what gives you the best bang for your buck. Don't forget Revives, there are a one point wonder, if you have +tree/skills.

Here's a 'good' skill planner that's actually good (i.e. correct);

EDIT: Skelly necs are pretty hard to screw up. If you have a few + skills, just 1 golem/1 mastery/1 summon resist will be enough to have an effective meat shield (err, clay shield?) and have enough slow to gimp any bosses you're against. Other than that, pump skellies, everything to do with them and CE, 1 in each curse, a few in revive and you're set.

You'll have a lot of extra points to throw around, but investing heavily in either golem or golem mastery is a waste (golem goes from invincible to invincible, damage goes from like 9 to 12, slow from 55% to 59%, w00t), and LR and summon resist both get demolished by diminishing returns.

Whats with the 10 points in summon resist? somewhere between 2 and 5 is fine.
And, you mentioned sorc friend, so im assuming your online, but even with a sorceress Id assume as a fishymancer you'd try and max these:
*skele mastery
*raise skele warrior
*raise skele mage
then from there you could choose whatever you wanted in curses, and if you want a golem or focus on revive.
btw, like i mentioned earlier, skele mages are great, and also corpse explosion is a 1 point wonder

Maybe it's just me but I max corpse explosion- I recommend trying it, you'll have a lot of leftover skill points anyways. Nothing like killing Nihalthak from a screen away!

No, every intelligent person will max CE.

I agree with maxing CE, I've got about 13 points in it, and I'm sticking more in till its 20.

Skeletal mages aren't very impressive in hell. I would only stick 1 point in them. With decent gear you will still be able to summon 4-5 of them, which is enough.

do you really think so?

i dont really see much point in maxing it at all, hell ive put 8 points in it, ill probably stop right there, with my +skills its at 23 with a 10 yard radius, it only goes up by .3 yards per point.

i dont see how a couple more yards total is going to make any difference whatsoever.

I honestly dont see what else you would put the points into. You could stick them in a golem talent but I dont think its needed, and its not critical to max out revives. People complain so much when I have just 15 out anyway, I couldnt imagine having 11 skellies, 5 mages, and 30+ revives. Game would probably crash.

Hahahaha, you couldn't imagine having 11 skellies, 5 mages, and 30+ revives? Try then imagining 18-19 skeletons, 18-19 mages, 45 or so revives, and 1 fire golem, with a merc for army. That's what I have with my pure summoning build with 1 point in amplify.

Meh. It's impossible to mess this build up.

Anyways.....if you have GG stuff it's over. you only need 1 point in almost all skills lol considering the Necro is versatile.

I went:

20 Skele Mast
20 Raise Skele
20 Raise Mage
20 Revive
1 point in the golems
1 point in all curses
1 point in all psn/bone

The rest split between Summon res and CE

Don't really need CE with my gear, it's godly.

Max revive I have over 55 minions running.

That's how it's done. I vouch Max Revive.

Especially for PvP.
