1. Introduction

Ok, a few things to discuss before we actually get into the meat and potatoes of this build. Farcast. This is a mod that is used for Javazons to give a ranged ability for Charged Strike and Lightning Strike. If you decide to build this character for pvp keep in mind that 85-90% of all Java pvp characters out there use this skill. This guide will be made for the javazon without any such skill,(dare I even call that a skill). Keep in mind though that even without Farcast this is a build that still hold its own through PVM, PVP or whatever you decide to do with it. Farcast was probably created by someone who does not know how to duel with a Javazon. On that note, on with the guide.

This guide is going to incorporate the teleport skill given my Enigma. So the basics of this build will have a decent ias (increased attack speed) and fcr (faster cast rate).

2. Attribute Points

Assigning the right points to the right area is crucial (as with most builds).
This character will have fairly good life, enough mana and enough strength and dexterity to equip really anything you will need for good light damage weapons and shields.

Strength: Enough for gear*(easy so far). With this build depending on mods that gear have, you will need enough to equip a stormshield, spirit monarch or -20/+20 lite monarch.

Dexterity: Now you have to ask yourself if you want to go with the max block of stormshield or go with just pure vitality. I personally would choose the build without max block due to how good of a skill dodge is, but we'll get into that later.

Vitality: This you want to pump this as much as you can, put everything else besides what you need for gear. Dodge will only save you for so long before you will to take some blows.

Energy: Just leave this at base...I don't think I need to explain.

3. Skill Assignment

For this particular build you will need to use two out of the three trees for javazon. These trees include Passive and Javazon Skills.

Passive Tree:

I personally don't use valkyrie. So I'll distribute the skills like this.

Critical Strike: 1
Penetrate: 1
Pierce: 1
Dodge: Enough to get to at least 60% (with gear this should be no problem)
Avoid: 1
Evade: 1
Inner sight: 1
Slow missile: 1, This is such an invaluable skill. Some consider it BM but it works great for those sorcs and such that use TMC to modify their cast rates.

Javelin and Spear Skill Tree:

Do not put anything into the Jab column. These skills are useless for this particular build.

At level 90 you should be able to max most synergies.

Power Strike: 20
Charged Strike: 20 (main attack on left click)
Lightning Strike: 20
Poison Jav: 1 (sucks you have to waste a point.)
Lightning Bolt: Last to max with whatever you can.
Plague Jav: 1 (another crappy point wasted...)
Lightning Fury: 20 (your other main attack on right click)

This is a pretty basic skill assignment for most java builds.

4.Equipment

Ok, from head to toe, to be the best you need the best. Some stuff you can sacrifice a little bit of quality but some you can't.

Head:
Griffons. Try to get the best you possibly can. If your serious about this build, save up trade items to get this baby. When you do get it, socket it with a lite facet to up the damage and less resists. Griffs is nice for this build because not only does it help your damage but it also offers 25% cast rate which will help you teleport out of trouble faster.

If you don't have the patience to wait for something like this then shako is another viable option. Socket that with a lite facet if you can. +2 skills and life and mana...nice but still try and go for griffs.

Armor:
Enigma...duh! You don't want an Enigma with high strength so if you can get either a Mage Plate or Dusk Shroud.

Belt:
There is only, I mean ONLY one option for Light javazons...
THUNDERGODs. Crazy bonuses to your light damage, special attribute skills, you can't beat it.

Boots:
I go for Sandstorm Treks. These boots are awesome for any build really. The strength and vit mods accompanied with fhr make these boots hard to beat. These boots will help your strength get to where it needs to be for equipping monarch shields.

Gloves:
It shouldn't be hard to find gloves with at least +2 jav skill and 20 ias. Sometimes you can get these gloves mod'd with strength and dex or even resists. If you are rich enough get +3 jav skills with 20 ias. Harder to come by, but better for you in the long run.

Weapon:
There is two types of jav's that this build will use. One for max damage and jav replenishment on Light Fury the other good for Charged Strike damage.

Titans is by far the best of anything a Javazon can own. BY FAR! Bigger damage on LF and the javs replenish. If you can afford try to get a Up'd eth titans (kinda expensive) or an eth titans. Get it, without it you will be incomplete.

Thunderstrokes is an awesome weapon with Charged Strike. This weapon lowers resists and adds a ton of damage. Get one with at least +3 to skills but if you can go for gold by getting the +4 to skills. Harder to find but nice to have. This is an important part of your arsenal as well.

SWITCH

1-6 BO Call to Arms. Try to make out of Crystal Sword...it just looks cool when she reaches to the sky with it ;).

Shield:
Some zons go for max block. If you want max block you will add the appropriate amount of dexterity for Stormshield.
A jeweled monarch is never a bad thing to have. You lower resists by 20% and add 20% damage and then some.
Spirit is what I use because it offers +2 skills, FCR and FHR which in my opinion are invaluable. If you decide to use this shield try to find one with a lot of mana. I wouldn't settle for anything lower than 100. Oh yeah, nice resist too!

SWITCH

Good to have another Spirit for your BO, crappy one it doesnt matter.

Amulet:
I use mara's. This is a nice ammy and you can find one pretty cheap but it will have lower resists. Your whole goal with this ammy though is the + to attributes and + to skills.
Another nice option is Highlords. Gives you nice ias and + skills also.

Rings:
Get at least a ravens. This build will seriously lack without one. Nothing worse than relying on ias and being frozen...
Another, some get a Bul Kathos ring. Thats fine, but I go for Soj for mana boost. You will need mana if your going to be teleing and LF'ing.

With this gear, you should have about a 45-48 Charged Strike and 51 Light fury. Thats your goal.

5. Inventory

You obviously want 9 javazon + skills grand charms. DUH, you want to maximize damage.

Next item you want is Annihlus charm. Wow, very nice. Expensive but you need it, trust me.

Amazon Hellfire Torch, you have to get this. +3 skill and other great mods make this a no brainer.

The rest of your inventory should be comprised of resist small charms or inertia small charms or some kind of FHR small charms. I have found a few with combined stats like FRW with mana, or Light resist with 5% Fhr...you get the picture.

6. End damage

Let me list to you what I use and you can compare damage.

Griffs Eye 19/15 with out facet.
Dusk Shroud Enigma
Tgods
+3 skill 20 ias java gloves
Sandstorm Treks
Titans/Tstrokes
4 BO CTA Crystal Sword
Spirit Shield (34% fcr, 104 mana), another low spirit for BO switch.
Soj, Ravens
Mara's (26 resists)
9x Jav gcs plain
Torch 18/17
Anni
assortment of resists gcs and fhr/resists and frw/resists

With the gear listed my zons damage is as follows

Charged Strike: 1-9.2k
Light Fury: 1-3.9k

75% Fhr
60% Fcr

7. Basic PVP strategies

Teleport on zon works as good as sorcs or necros, you just cant cast as fast.
You can use the same strategy as you do a druid with tele/stomp or necro and bone spear.

I hope this guide helps anyone who cares to look. This is a fun char for me.
If you would like to post this guide anywhere else just give credit where credit is due.

is the guide for pvp or pvm? if it's the latter, razortail is a great belt choice. 100% pierce is lightning fury's best friend =)

hmm, 14 frame tele seems pretty slow..
anyone has any idea how 100+frw fare against 14 frame tele?

EDIT: imo this guide pales in comparison with your druid guide. the latter includes concise gameplay strategies. this one, however, is basically a list of gear recommendations for quite a fairly common build. just my 2 cents.. =)

NP, I appreciate the criticism. I'll make sure to add more in-depth pvp strategies on next guide. The tele may seem slow but when you dueling, running and this tele go great with each other. Tele is mainly just to close the gap between ranged attackers. Guess I should have stated that a little more clear. Anyways, thanks for your input.

Not too great a guide, but at least you`ve listed the optimal choice of gear. Now i know exactly what to get for her. I`m also wondering how much IAS you have, and what kind of Merc you use.

Insane dmg you got there, in comparison to mine. I have 1-5K CS and 1-1.9 Fury. But i hae something you lack: 100% (95%) Pierce. Yes, i use Razortail, but sometimes wish i went all-out in Pierce, or at least around 15 pts .. and use TV instead. It is a great belt.

It`s just that without Piercing as much, i don`t seem to take enemies down that fast.

To make it a super-perfect guide in my opinion, you need to include low-end gear of choice, Merc options and MF opoprtunities, as the Javazon quickly can turn into a very efficient MF`er, and especially with Teleport!

I'm sorry, I should have added that this build is MAINLY built for PVP. The damage that I have I thought was pretty standard for javzon. Getting razortail for pierce is not for this build. With gear you should have enough pierce with only 1 point in it.

I've been following this guide and i now have a lvl 81 javazon who is doing ok my only problem is that i've never been rich/had high runes so it's been hard to come by skillers torches off people also I can't get the enigma or other such weps. but i'm still doing CS=1-4.1k LF=1-1.6k
