The best idea thatvato is to let the merc handle the job.. They are almost to fast for you, also depends on witch char you playing of cource.

frezzing them in anyway, probably holy freeze aura merc, is your best choice.
but as mentioned, don't killed them, just run. those guys are probably the most annoying monsters in the game after souls.

Let your merc tank them, he is immune to their explosive death.

If you have a necromancer, use golems with iron madin, or ranged attack's wile you distract them with what ever you have...

Really depends on your character. If you are a Barb or Palli you should have high life and high def so no prob. If you are Sorc then tele so no prob. Any other char use Enigma so no prob.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Have you talked with administrators, maybe they are willing to sort that thing for you, as you were among more active and dedicated "old timers"? Nice current name setup, though :D

As dolls are concerned, I agree with avoiding them everywhere possible, but if it's not possible ( like when Baaling in throne room ), I use "let merc suffer rather than me" tactic. Keep merc and/or summons surrounded by them while you stay safe away.

Amazon:

Just use a bow or javelin

Barbarian:

Just tank them, I was okay. You just end up using an hp potion after every 4-5 kills, so just repot often

Druid:

Let your summons kill them or just kill them from afar with volcano

Assassin:

Use any trap skill to keep your distance. If you're a martial artist assassin, use your merc lol.

Sorceress:

Two words: cold spells

Paladin:

Look at barbarian

Necromancer:

Use summons or bone spirit, and make sure to cast life tap on everything so that you can get some of your health back

As a Necro I use attract and they start attacking themselves. Then I take them out with my bone spear. If they get near enough to me I use bonewall to keep them away while I run like he!!.:D

I play both an Amazon and a Wind Druid. My strategy is pretty much the same. I let my minion and merc handle then up close while I stand back and lob javs or nados at them.

here is what you have to do:
1.)While you are playing and see them, log out
2.)Make a gg strafer with delerium and kill them
3.)End of your problem, by the way the problem was your char

Kill them from afar if you can, or let merc kill them.

As an Amazon, ues Henrik`s method, or run away from them while your merc and valkyrie occupy them - then use Freezing or Multi to take`em down =)

If they catch up with you and get in hits, and you are hit recovery-locked, you can try to get in a Freezing arrow and run away, but usually they do so much dmg, you have to Save & Exit very fast.. Better than loosing gold and exp!

if you have a summon nec, have ur skellies kill them and use corpse explosion to blast them away - (give them back some of their own "medicine" ;) )- but make sure you're standing back when those little red sh*** fry ;)

My sorc with ~1500 mana dropped down to ~400 mana at one explosion. I stood a little too close when my merc crushed one..

Well i only try killing Mephisto on non-ladder, i have a cold sorceress i just orb, teleport, orb, teleport, and usually my mercenary already is attacking them so sometimes i don't even run and i can just orb

put some kind of obstacles in betweed, merc, valk, summons, decoy, bonewall, and attack them from distance
