Is Fishymancer the only "cheap" build???

Just started after a two year break. I started to build a fishymancer and am enjoying it but was wondering if there are any other "cheap" builds. By "cheap" I mean it doesn't matter what armor and weapons you have like the fishymancer.

Most sorcs are fairly cheap too. That is if you don't want to buy the great stuff for them like every other class. A good hybrid can solo almost all the game you just need a merc.

I have a Orber/Lighting sorc I haven't used anything i've traded for since I started it as my only ladder char. Got to Act 4 hell using complete crap(though -50 resists isnt fun), all random stuff I found and socketed with p topaz lol. Though that will change cause I got a Gul from my hellforge :D

Well instead of having cheap gear for the rest of your gaming experience, you can get a Bliz/orb sorc, which are fairly good naked. Give them a bit of cheap gear that has +Magic find, and your on your way to riches. Start out with a few set item, a few desirable items (Dracs grasp, chancies). I started out with a sorc, and you find gear for yourself, while still finding gear to trade away for more gear that you can use.
