well i was reading up on it and it sounds pretty cool, and looks even cooler.

to me it looks like a mix of diablo 2, WoW, God Of War.
which is a cool trio.
i hope the keep the paladin around in this 1 its my fav character.

besides the witch doctor, what kinds of new characters do you guys wish for

Ok first off...more people need to have titles that pertain to their topics. Dx It's getting crazy keeping up with it.

I don't see the God of War sense...since GoW is ALL action. ._.;;

I wouldn't mind if the paladin died or at least got nerfed compared to their TOTALLY overpowered versions now.

To me shown game demo looks amazing. I liked every bit of it. The final boss showing moments before you actually get to fight him is great idea ( the part when one of the guards that follow barb utters "There's something in here!" - and yes, I've noticed it the 5th time I watched it. >_> )

Shown caracters look good also. I don't find them too colorful, cartoony or copied WoW toons.

I DON'T want for barb to be only melee character, though. Some sword/axe/mace + shield knight who can become paladin or some sort of weapon master wouldn't be bad idea for me ( Lut Golein mercenary, or Westmarch captain would do also ). The hammers can go away, but let us keep that Smiter! ;). If skeleton wariors get to wear that cool shield, imagine what would this kind of character have at it's disposal...

Witch doctor shown is also very nice. I usually always start melee type character for all hack&slash games I've played, but this one made left me in serious thinking of changing the habit *casts Mongrel.* ^^

The one thing I would make mandatory for all games in the genre; dissing idea of only 1 to 2 sets of end-game gear for given class. No more clones in channel window please!

I'll allow smite if they nerf it. Attacking with a shield should NOT be a reason to completely negate your chance of hitting. This is why I will continue to call smite a "point blank physical SPELL". Spells have no AR requirement to hit.

I'd be surprised if there won't be a Paladin in D3. They've almost become a must have for every RPG imo.

For the other classes next to the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor (and the Paladin of coarse ;)) I guess it will be a caster - Sorcerer, Mage... something in that direction - and a range class like an Amazon, Rogue, Hunter. Hard to tell what they will name them.
