connection issues

I just dont understand it at all.
I just bought D2 and LOD (after not playing for 3 years)
on the blizzard site.
installed perfectly.
and Bam.
wont let me connect to US EAST or West. but Europe and Asia work fine.
Its giving me the whole "Cannot Connect To Battle.net, you must connect modem blah blah blah"
that whole schmeal.

anyone with a solution?

Sorry if the fact that someone replies brings you hope. But I do am experincing the same exact problem. The D2: Support section is down on the official b.net website. So I have no idea what to do, I've turned off Zone Alarm, All Firewalls, Opened all ports. And nothing.

Please someone help the two of us.

I have been having the same problem for several days, i recently switched to broadband and now I cannot connect to west but i can to others, only problem is everyone i know is in the west.
