I would say sorc because they are what I'm best with, but theres just too many ways to sorb out there that its not very fun dueling with many of them. Next runner up though would definitely be barbarian.

ha no1 so far likes necromancers, well i like smite paladins (yeah i know its kinda nooby) but its cool to wack some1 away and they can hit u if your really fast

I have tryed a few builds for pvp so far, and honestly the most effective for me was smite. They're very easy to play. Some day I would like to try to perfect a tele-smiter.
As of right now I only have one PK character. Here's the three that I will have on the day of the reset:
Bvc (Will remake him when the rest of my charms come)
Ghost/ Hybrid WW/Trap (Havn't decided yet, but I have all of the gear for either)
Hammerdin/1Pt Uber Smite (As we all know, all hammerdins can pack a punch in PK)

Wednesday/Thursday I may start saving up towards my tele smiter, but I want to get these out of the way first.

I can get like 18k ar maximum on my wolf....I can't duel zealers very well.

auradins!!!! no they are too easy to "duel" with (stack the auras and tele around the poor soul)

blizz sorc!!! nah.... you need to dual people that dont get that blizz is still there when ur not..

I must say the best pvp for me is my dual dream melee sorc. Still need to lvl up a bit to get blizz n FO.

To play? An assassian hands down.. i've played every Class and id have to say Hybrid paladins and assassians are the most fun to play. I really like hybrids to be honest, they have a different play style and are more fun than pure Hdin, full trapper, ect.

I voted for pally, but it was a close call with the Amazon and Barbarian.

My PvP pally is a Team cleric. I have the most fun playing with him because he basically annoys the hell out of the opponents (granted he usually only gets up to max resist and 5k of defense, still, he plays nicely).

I typically build 'Zon's for pvp because I have the most experience with them, but I've built some moderately decent throw barbs.

The bowazon is the only PvP character I've ever made so they're my fav. And not a teleporting bowa but one that uses Fortitude and runs it out. I don't like when characters besides Sorcs use teleport. Things would be much more interesting if all the characters weren't telly tubbying around like faeries.

Barbs due to probably one of the most versatile physical attacks in the game. Gotta love being able to move while attacking.

smiter. pure smite skills maxed. extras into charge/vigor.
solid vita. end result for me usually (depending on life pcombs or life scs): 4.5k-5.1k life 2.4k-3.3k smite, always approx 1.9k charge.

So I quit d2 before LoD. Want to get back into it since i got an LoD disc.

In orignal d2 I played a frost sorc and a summner necro. I did alot of dueling and player killing w/ my sorc and some w/ necro. I'm currently working on a build thats heavy into thunderstorm and static. tele around, and the use of mana sheild. the thing I'm noticing so far is this build consumes alot of mana. Seems like a genarally un-effective build. I remeber this build being good back in orig d2 days. but how is it nowadays?

Sure you don't mean Nova? I'm not entirely sure how Static works in PvP. ._.;

As for ES and that...they still work...but you pretty much have to delve 95% into energy for it to work right.

I ment static, And testing it out last night at lvl 36 dueling a lvl 32 smite paladin and a lvl 34 fire sorc static is not very usefull in pvp. Nova seemed to be better. Like I've read throughout these pvp forums smiters a pretty strong. The paladin was able to kill me everytime without dropping below 80%. Keeping in mind I'm just starting out so my gears vender/drops from a1-a5 normal. I want to try somthing diffrent.

And 'back in the day' it was probally Nova used over static and I'm just rembering wrong.

Pallies are the most abundant class in the PvP scene (maybe PvM too). Hammers get 12k unresistable damage and smite is unblockable. Keep in mind a LOT of smiters utilize Life Tap to keep their life up, too. It's a pretty BS place, pubs.

3. I read your (Omicides) class build guids and I'm kinda leaning for a Barbarian. I noticed you put 20pts into axes, I like swords. I saw some of the rune word weapons are axes or swords. the reason you choose axes is because slower atk speed, higher top end dmg?

I chose axes because of the sheer adaptation aspect of them. I can use Grief/Beast/Doom/Death/Silence etc. All sorts of axes with different functions that help me achieve what I need. And also...a berserker axe is faster than a CB. O_o PB's just aren't applicable for swords unless you only plan on using Grief.

but for me itll always be the op'd to **** bone necro haha, if you roll it to pvp and youre hella decent with tele'ing, then your ****in gravy man.

Barb I would say (BvC).

Capable of winning any matchup (except BvA/BvB and maybe MB Winds) with good skills (and items, when dueling V/Ts etc. for stacking). A skill-dependent class pretty much still.

Also in my opinion, very stylish.

I also like Sorcs and Wind Druids.
