So for my first assassin guide I was thinking about either a trapsin guide or a martial artist/kicksin or something. I really would prefer to not do traps....because that's always the popular vote...and the popular assassin Ive noticed.

This would be the FIRST assassin guide I'd ever write. Also, I am planning on making this assassin. But it'll be very VERY difficult until I will be able to play on battle.net again. So...I'll be playing SP...which is hard for me because 1) I rarely even play Diablo 2 anymore. 2) It's single player...and if there are runewords, I'd have to download the stuff to create them and such....3) there isn't any help and but from my merc....so it would take me a while.

So anyway...

I was thinking either

Gore Riders or Shadow Dancers or Nats Set for boots

Chaos+Fury or dual Fire Lizard Claws or Nats or dual +3 to Martial Arts with ias/res/etc.

+3 to Martial Arts with res/ias/etc. or any +2 to all skills helm (i.e. shako, andariels+ral, etc.) or Nats set

Enigma or Nats or CoH or anyother armor you guys might have in mind

Arachs or Dungos or anyother armor you guys might have in mind

carrion wind+bul-kathos (for life steal) or dual bk rings or anyother ring you guys might have in mind

Also what type of gloves: Draculs or +2 to Martial Arts with res/+str/ias/etc. or anyother gloves u might have in mind

Also....with Kick Damage....does something like crushing blow or life steal work with that?

I mgiht have more questions...but in the meantime THANK YOU! Lol

1. do research. it's actually better than being spoon fed. there are many good guides out there be it ma-sins or trappers. even skill mechanics like kicking, traps and blade fury..

2. play the character. with different builds. get a feel of how the play an assassin. this way, you'll learn more about each skill. what to use, what not to use, which are utility skills, which are core skills etc.

3. your gear selection is all over the place. usually, sins are played either as a trapper or a martial artist. figure out which one you want to specialise in, or go hybrid.

I learned the hard way that no more sin guides are needed. Check on the www.diabloii.net forums for a comprehensive look at umpteen sin builds.

HMM with that gear and a good build, you shouldnt need to worry about needing help from other then your merc!

any legit build will work. But if you are looking for the most effective Id have to tell you to go with a lightning trapsin.
Never made one though, I have a lightress instead, knew I wanted to make a lightning type.

Upped Gore Riders is better IMO.

Wait, let me get this straight... You're planning on writing a guide to a character build you know next to nothing about? Bad idea.

no, upped gores have less requirements as shadow dancers..

upped gores = 156 str
shadows = 166 str
