Question about facets

Blizzard says that lite facets do not help trapper damage. I have dueled with them, and without them. Lite facets seem to do exactly what lite facets are supposed to do. They help do more damage, sounds weird but I tried quite a few times and Im convinced that facets help out. Can anyone confirm this??

I tried dueling a friend about 15 times with and without, and they seemed to help...strange...o well I guess it doesnt hurt to use em. JUST in case ;)

Well, it kind of does matter.

You could be socketing your gear with stuff that actually helps...

Light facets do not affect traps at all, as the game counts the traps as minions. The reason they seemed to make a difference is the range in damage on the traps over the number of times you were hit for those 15 minutes. You would have to get 1,000 times and record the damage each time in order to get a reasonable average damage to use for comparison purposes.

But...when most people refer to traps, those don't even cross their mind. :/
