1e. Act 1 Quest 5

1. Act 1
-------------------------------------------------
Act 1 is the easiest Act in the game but don't get me wrong, if you have not played Diablo 2 for a while, then this can be a tricky Act to complete.
-------------------------------------------------
1a. Act 1 Quest 1: The Den Of Evil
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By talking to Akara in The Rouge Encampment or just wonder your way in the Blood Morr until you find The Den Of Evil.

What To Do: After you have started this quest, go the The Den Of Evil, and simply kill all of the monsters in the Den.

Reward: Akara gives you one skill point.
-------------------------------------------------
1b. Act 1 Quest 2: Sister's Burial Grounds
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By talking to Kashya, or finding the Burial Grounds.

What To Do: First, try and kill all the Zombies and other monsters around the Burial Ground. Then after you have done that, go into the middle of the Burial Grounds and kill Blood Raven.

Reward: Everything Blood Raven drops. (She drops magic items, and good armor)
-------------------------------------------------
1c. Act 1 Quest 3: The Cairn Stones
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By either, completing Quest 2, or finding The Tree Of Inifuss.

What To Do: First, you need to get to Stoney Field, then from there you need to find the Underground Passageway. Once you are out of there, you will be in the Dark Wood. In the Dark Wood you need to find the Tree Of Inifuss, then take the Scroll Of Inifuss from the tree. After that, take the scroll back to Akara for her to translate the Runes on it. Once this is done, go back to the Stoney Field, and find a circle of tall stones. Once you are there, look at the Scroll Of Inifuss. It sould look just like the stones you are at. The scroll will also so a specific order of which stones to click on. I done correctly, then a portal sould open up to Tristram. Once in Tristram, you need to free Deckard Cain from the cage he is in. After that the actual Quest is over but I recommend finding Writ's Leg because you need it in order to unlock the Secret Cow Level.

Reward: Deckard Cain who is now at town, will identify items for you for the rest of the game!
-------------------------------------------------
1d. Act 1 Quest 4: The Forgotten Tower
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By finding The Moldy Tome in Stoney Field.

What To Do: Go to the Black Marsh, which can be reach from the Dark Wood. Then find the Forgotten Tower. After that go in it and you must fight your way through five levels before you reach the Countess. When you get to the Countess, kill her.

Reward: All of the riches and items the Countess drops. Which is more than you think.
-------------------------------------------------
1e. Act 1 Quest 5: Tools Of The Trade
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By completing Quest 4, or talking with Charsi.

What To Do: Go to the Outer Cloister, to get there go to the Black Marsh, then to the Tamoe Highlands, then to the Monastery. Go to the Barracks. When your in it you notice a hammer on your map. Take te hammer and take it to Charsi.

Reward: Charsi will imbue one item of your choice. (Imbue means to make rare)
-------------------------------------------------
1f. Act 1 Quest 6: Sisters To The Slaughter
-------------------------------------------------
How To Start: By talking to Deckard Cain.

What To Do: Go to the Inner Cloister. To get there go to the Barracks, then down three levels in the Jail, then go to the Cathedral, then to The Catacombs. Go to level 4 of here then open the big two doors to face and kill Andariel.

Reward: None, but if you talk to Warriv, he will send you to Act 2

Decent guide...but if people need a guide on how to start/do acts...maybe Diablo isn't the game for them. xD

This guide is here for pros that know there is so much incorrect info in it that it is hilarious.

Let me try to help perfecting your guide:

If you`re going to do a guide like that, you should do it by the letter, that means you should tell ppl where to go exactly. "Wonder off to Blood Morr" is`nt very good. "Follow the road that starts from outside Rogue camp until it splits into two roads. Now you must pick on of the two, until you find the Den of evil at the end of one of them. If you travelled for more than 20 seconds without finding it, you picked the wrong road..." or something like that.. And btw it`s "wandered" and not "wondered" .. ;D

Sister`s burial grounds quest also gives the opportunity to have Rogue mercs as a reward.

It`s Stony field, not Stoney field. Good job spelling Underground Passageway correctly ^^

You could mention that when you get to the Dark wood, you would be better off by finding the Waypoint first. This is because when you TP back to town (to Akara with the scroll), and then when you travel to Stony field (which you misspelled once again) and Tristram, you are likely to use another TP, which will cancel the one you made in Dark wood - and you must travel all the way through Underground Passageway again. I still make that error sometimes, and to prevent such inferior troubles to future players, it should be told as early as possible.

It`s Cairn stones, not Tall stones.

You must Right-click on the scroll of Inifuss, not just look at it O_O

"The scroll will also so a specific order of which stones to click on." I didn`t understand squat of this.

"I done correctly, then a portal sould open up to Tristram" If, not I - and should, not sould.

Freeing Cain can be very simple, or a little troublesome. If you choose to fight all the monsters around him, you might need a few travels back to town to "re-pot" or "re-fill" your belt. You can choose to charge at his gibbet and free him, which is the easiest, but also the cowards way out ;)

It`s Wirt`s leg, not Writ`s leg. And you might want to wait with keeping or getting that leg until you actually reached Nightmare difficulty, when it is usable. If you decide to keep it, it will just take valuable inventory space.

The Forgotten tower is a optional quest - you don`t actually HAVE to do it. In my opinion you should wait doing it until you are properly equipped, just like any other optional quests. But that`s just my opinion, ppl would have to choose by themselves :)

It`s not just that simple in the Barracks, as to just spot the hammer on the map. You must find it first, and when you do, you usually would have to defeat the Smith that guards it first. It is possible to pass him by but i`m not sure if you can pick the hammer up if you do. Either way, he is quite a challenge, so is the monsters in the barracks. Especially the pack of Champion Moon clan monsters. Make sure to always keep a TP up a while back..

As far as the Imbue quest goes, many ppl says that you should wait using it until you are higher leveled, and have better equipment that you can imbue. You will most likely not get anything very useful at such low levels.

Before you get to Andariel, you should kill all the monsters before you meet her - when you meet her, lure her back to the previous room, so that you are 1vs1 and not 1vs10... it will make the job a lot easier...

And always keep a TP up =)

Anyways: A good thought - Keep up finishing it, and it might get stickied.

The NPCs tells you what to do and if you are in doubt you can always press the 'q' key (default). If there is a new quest for you a '!' symbol will appear above NPCs indicating that you need to talk to them in order to get a quest :)

If you are keen to make a guide I suggest you do it with screenshots (i know no maps are the same (unless of a rare coincidence)) to show to the viewer what exactly you mean.

Remeber that the people who would want to read this guide have NEVER played Diablo before and once you completed a quest you should be able to remeber how you did it :)

I havn't bothered questing much in D2 lately, but isn't that in WoW only (and perhaps WC3) and not D2?

Having never played WoW and I wouldnt know about that :)

Currently running a zealer in sp so i know for sure thats how it looks ;)

EDIT: Some symbot appears if an NPC want to talk to you in another matter (completed a quest). You dont need to talk to NPCs to be able to do a quest...

Hi all, i'm new here :) hope you guys can help me clear up this for me, search everywhere but can't find the conclusion, don't know where to ask either heh.

I started playin Diablo II like 8-10 years ago, recently just start playin it again after the announcement of Diablo III, just to relived the story.

I've played it through Normal and now on nightmare mode, but not really important, story is just what i wanted.

But somehow, there seems to be somethin missing from long time ago when i use to play it. I don't know if i'm dreaming or it's a thing from another game.

You know the fire place or hole at Charsi's place in Act I, it looks funny eh?, I think remembering that hole will open at some point, for some quest or somethin, so far i've finished all quest in Act I, that hole never did open LOL

So please, am i dreaming? or is it from some other expansion or game? HMMM this is weird for me, i really remember that fire place opens up :X

Thanks

could be reffering to cow portal ( red/orange color) resembling fire hole. Once you beat game on normal you can access this portal by combing wirts leg and a tomb of town portal.

You neglected to mention that Blood Raven gives the ability to hire Rouge Merc's as a reward.
