need advice

I've always played on bnet, and it has become a habit. I would love to play single player, and I've tried so many times, but i just cannot get into it. I end up playing until about level 8 at the highest and get bored. I need something to get my interest kick-started! What should I do?!

For SP a good start as always would be a sorc for the teleport that she offers. Makes for easy moving when you begin to MF items. Other downloads you may want is the ATMA program, Unlimited stash space including gold. RRM, RWM which makes your Red Rune Mod and Rune Word Mod. that enables ladder only runewords and turns the runes red to see them easier. as far as a sorc goes, in SP you almost have to go dual big sggestion is fireball FO or Metor FO, either way get that teleport. I would say lightning, but its hardly worth it unless you fully synergise it. Lightning immunities in hell would give you well... Hell :) Unless of course you can manage infinity..
Other builds to consider is a Zealer, Necromancer summoner with ccorps explosion, Little more slow then a sorc but you can go compleatly naked which means pack on the MF:D
I wouldnt even try a barb first off, or a druid or assassin. though choice is yours

Don't forget the /playersX command, it makes SP a lot of fun. A lot also depends on your playing style. I personally cannot stand MPing, and in 5 or 6 years of play I've never adventured with others. You might find that you're a player that prefers to group play, this is still available to you in SP, ie not bnet.

... A Hammerdin is also a great starting char, cuz there's no immunes! Then MF with him till you have good starting gear for a new char! It's a bit harder to play on SP since you can't trade for good runes, but I see it as a good challenge to make a great char without the crazy runewords like CoH, Eni, Forti etc... Now I would never go back to Ladder. No lagg, no Cannot Join, no Failed to join, no hacks... You just gotta love it! :D

Im just now venturing to MP on bnet, first time today. only thing i hate is starting over but im going to give it a try anyway. Maybe ill get into pvp someday

I wouldn't be afraid of making a blizz sorc, can make it to nm meph easy enough, run him till you get travs chances, viper, lidless, then have at it with hell meph. Doesn't need to finish the game; can tele around immunes to get to a3 hell. Once you've gotten a few goodies like hoz/ss/shako/etc, etc you can see what your proper starting char will be.
