I've thought about this sort of thing alot.
That's because I'm a fan of graffiti, but there's a difference between graffiti and what you did.
Graffiti is art. It makes things look better, and can turn the most unlikely run down places into a masterpiece.
What you showed on that wall, that's vandalism, and worse, it gives graffiti a bad name. It's not art at all, but a pathetic scribble that defaces the surface which was cursed to adorn it.

My theory, if you cant make the artisic pieces dont graffiti at all.

Exactly! And it bugs me when someone does make an ugly tag because, what good is it? Seriously? To make a mark that everyone will see, but no one cares, knows, or respects who made. And that person just sits alone and giggles to themself about how they made a mark on some stupid wall, and made it uglier. See my point?

If it's on anyone's wall* that hasn't explicitly given approval for one to do ANYTHING to it, it's vandalism. *Wall, Window, Door, surface, property, car, tree, pet, child, etc.

As you can see I'd already said that, I was simply emphasising the point that artistic merit has no bearing on whether it is vandalism or not. It is in the eyes of the one being vandalised, ie me.
What icemanya did is straight up vandalism.
Some of the other stuff is art in the form of vandalism.
It's amazing work, but..... it's doing something somebody else's property without permission.

I find it hard to believe some of that isn't done with spray brush or anything....with how smoothly the colors blend over the other.
Buuut then again I can't use paint.
Plus I'm with everyone saying anything on someone's property is vandalism. Art or not, unless you have permission, that's what it'll always be. Makes me wonder why they don't just tag their rooms/house walls/etc. Stuff they own.

All I can say is where it looks best. On a train. So train owners whould hire professional graffiti artists to paint the entire train. That'd be AWESOME:D

It's vandalism, destruction of another's property. Yes it is also art, but is also vandalism. I feel that so many people now do it to be cool and take the essence of art from graffiti. All of the people who make it an art don't really vandalize anymore, they find legal places to tag. Like condemned buildings, hitters walls (here in cali there are 4 I know of which are basically giant walls where tagging is allowed as long as it stays on the wall) also some get into graphic design surprisingly enough, I have a friend who works for an advertising company that advertises hip hop clothes and he makes a killing designing shirts and their ads. If the posers could stop trying to be cool then tagging wouldn't have as bad of a rap sheet as it does.
