I've never seen a character actually used CTA as a weapon but you can start your own trend if you like. Usually only used to BO but then again, some V/t have used a FMW Cta as a weapon for Foh/BO switch.

Usually a claw or something of the such. I have no idea actually. Just responding as I see fit.

a cta is useful for all characters except a barb. it'll increase your skill by 1, mana, life. so what's not to like? even the battle cry is useful for bosses or a general way to increase your chances to hit.

for non-paladins, use spirit monarchs in conjunction with the cta if you have enough strength. otherwise, a lidless wall/splendor will do just to increase the bo level =)

I agree wirh saracen, but to be completely honest, a CTA Sword (if using phaseblade) takes up quite a bit of Dexterity, so you might not have alot of life, using most on dexterity and strength for the Spirit Monarch/any other strength required item(s), and if you use Dimensional Blade, than you arent getting the best damage you can get with another item. So i would much prefer claws. But what the Hey, its your assassin, not mine.

Good Luck and Have Fun with your Assassin! :)

usually, people would put cta in normal weapons with very low requirements. that way, it can be reused by other characters as well. seldom you see people using cta as a primary weapon, unless for style points. looking at the mods, in terms of damage/speed, it's like a cruel weapon of quickness.

No I completely understand, but were they talking about a primary weapon? Because if so, wouldn't you be wanting to go for damage? Especially for an Assassin. Unless you're a trapsin of course.

i'm assuming it's not a primary weapon. because that is very uncommon, even for a tiger strike sin. anw, cta makes great switch/pre-buff weapon, but quite an underwhelming primary weapon.

really there is not much of a point in using cta as a weapon it is used as a secondary for bo

@sacren - CTA is useful for a barb, because if you use a +3 cta, you still get that +1 all skills on the cta as well. Unfortunately, blizzard has made it to where only one cta gives the +1 skill, so having two on him is useless.

given the choice of a cta/+skills combo vs 2x echoing weapons, imo the latter still wins out.

cheaper, more accessible, and it has +6 to all warcries, including shout (more def) and those other crowd control skills (ie taunt/howl/war cry etc).

all those above benefits vs the price of a hr and a measly +1bo/bc/battle cry boost?
the answer's obvious =)
