so i was thinking hmmmm y not make a hammerdin with alot of res. so in this guide i will try to make a hammerdin with about 8-9k dmg and ALOT of res.
NOTE this is a pvm guide

gear

head=um'ed shako

body=um'ed guardian angel
also have a nigma in ur inventory to tele

shield= um'ed hoz

weapon=perfect hoto(must be high res)

boots=waterwalks(high life would be fine)

rings=sojs or bks

gloves= mages

belt=arach

ammy= maras

switch= cta and crap spirit lidless is a cheap alternative

skills

offense oras

1might
20 blessed aim
20 conc

defense oras

1 prayer
1 cleasing
1 defiance
20 vigor
1 redemption

combat skills

1 holy bolt
1 smite
1 charge
20 blessed hammer
20 holy shield(ur last skill to max)


merc

ur merc will be a act 2 nm defensive merc. his gear is as follows

weapon-insight(dosent have to be eth)
armor-fort(would like it to be eth)
helm- andys


inventory

xx/20 ptorch
xx/20/x anni
4x 5res charms
2x 20 lifers
6x pcombs(life would be nice)

stats

str=nuff to use gear
dex=nuff for max block
vitalty=rest
energy=none

your last res should be
fire=95
cold=90
light=90
psn=90

well i have not actually made this guy yet because i am sorta poor =] but if u do make it can u plz report to me comments on the dmg and how good he is. hope u enjoy this new idea. plzz comment if this guide was helpful too

Hmm.......

Well, you get points for trying to be original, but......


Without Teleport a hammerdin's job is much more difficult, so that's a pretty big problem.
The alternative would be using Charge to get around, but you don't make any mention of this method.


Besides.... most builds can easily have stacked resistances while still using an Enigma anyway.

Well, Andy's is a poor choice for a helm, just stick with Shako like everyone else. Typically a hammerdin doesnt suffer from res and as ID mentioned, nigma is a must. I Um'd my HoZ n Shako and i got max res in hell. My gear as followed:

Shako
Nigma
Magefist
Hoto 40
HoZ
Arachnid
Waterwalk
2xSoJ
Seraph Ammy (btw, u forgot what ammy u use)
Torch n Anni
9xPCombs

just your typical set up that reaches 17k hammers.

......This is completely unecessary. You can make a 125FCR Din, with max resistances in Hell, for a lot cheaper than this. Plus, the 9xGCs are not needed at all. Just your typical cookie-cutter hammerdin your running.


As for the guide, it looks like a messed up hammerdin. There's no point in half the gear......

So whats unecessary? the "cookie cutter" build? You say it like you dont approve it. Sure you can reach 125 but who hasnt? not everyone needs to be 125, i could have gone that route (still can) but i like what i have. To each his own, right?

As for his guide being messed up, its not, just needs a bit a tweaking thats all. When is the last time you used contructive feedback?

wizzy spike umed zaka helm i forgot the name of res of 50-70 umed so 65-85 i think kiras, thats pritty much max res

For a mega res sheild a 45 res 3 soc pally sheild with ko ko mal = huge res.

well seems like this idea was totally shot down =[. but it seems tht u guys arent seeing my real point of this guide, this is a defensive hammerdin. 7th u said ur items but i dont see how any of tht will give the paladin any extra res. the point of this was to get a hammerdin with ultra high res.

i will tell u wat u can have the nigma as a switch to get to places and then switch to the guiadian angel. the andy's was necessary for the 100 poison res.

imo it's ok..

enigma isn't everything. sure it speeds up gameplay. sure it's almost necessary in pvp. but this is pvm. one can actually survive the game without an enigma or teleporting. how? by running/walking and putting actual points into strength.

i think guides that advocates dupes and saying the build will not work without them is certainly broken. there are other alternatives. my guess is that those shanks are tri-resist boots with extra mods. you can actually find/gamble for tri-resist boots. or other alternatives.

and one more suggestion. a good spirit shield with high base resists and a wizspike can get you to 125fcr.

i don;t resists will go above 90 anyways so you can nix the andy's and go with shako.

actually it's 95. guardian angel brings all your max resistances to 90. you need another 5max resistance to all to achieve the cap.

yea i jus tried it wit the waterwalks
95 fire res.

aight i have a new idea trash the \andys and wear waterwalks. then u wont need the tri-res boots.
