Ok so at them moment I'm in the middle of making an uber/pvp smiter.

My gear for ubers will be:

Helm - Guillaumes (Um'd)
Armor - Chains of Honour
Shield - Herald of Zakarum with 15/37 jewel
Weapon - Last Wish
Belt - Verdungos
Boots - Gore Riders
Gloves - Draculs Grasp or crafted CB gloves
Amulet - Either Highlords or Maras
Rings - Raven Frost and some ther absorb ring maybe
And Paladin torch, anni and sc life charms
Call to Arms and Spirit on switch

And for PvP

Helm - Shako
Armor - Enigma/Fortitude
Weapon - Grief
Shield - Same as ubers
Belt - Verdungos/Thunder Gods
Gloves - CB crafted gloves
Boots - Gore Riders
Rings - Same as ubers
Amulet - Same as ubers
Torch, anni, sc life charms and pcombat gc's if I could afford them but I can't since I play on NL where on pc combat is like 2 hrs...it's crazy.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could improve this build or anything?

Thanks

Use grief for UT, rather than LW (LW is trash trash trash trash trash, and you will kill much faster with grief/50% cb than no grief/100% CB). Also, use togds in UT, and build it in to a non-enigma build. Enigma should be your armour 100% of the time for pvp. For pvp, use bloodfists, and I'd use waterwalks over gores.

I'd use a sanctuary sacred targe in UT preferentially (115 res compared to 65 res...), however the stats on hoz (specifically the strength) might mean you need to build it in in order to maintain a high-life pvp build. If you can res/-req jool your Guillaume's it will help a lot. If you're going to up your hoz, definitely use the sanctuary targe in UT.

Thats great info thanks man.

I could use LW and then switch to Grief as CB depends on the amount of life the monster has.

What would you recommend for rings and amulets for both situations?

With my current set-up how do you think I would fare in UT and pub duels?

Your set up will handle UT easy as long as you spawn meph alone and take him out first.

As for your ammy and rings, I can't think of anything else better to really use. What you listed is good enough. Raven + bk/wisp/dwarf would be fine. I use raven + bk but that really isn't necessary.

Also for ubers you could alternatively use a Tgods which would help with meph but again is not really necessary.

As for pub duels, I would suggest a vamp gaze (up'd if you prefer) for your helm as the DR reductions are great as well as the dual leech.

Well shako has dmg reduction already.

With my current set up would he do well in pub duels or not?

Nice build. It is almost exactly as is mine. The only difference is I use an Umed Andys helm, Seraphs,Tgods and an eBotDz. My HoZ has a Pdiamond also. I use the Guillames on the merc. I think with the CoH and perhaps a few resist charms, you might get past using the Maras and try the Seraphs, the other 2 skill points might come in handy.

At lvl 92, this Pally owns Trist. I have been doing Ubers with this character since lvl 85. I enter with Salvation active, do Meph, switch to Fanat and finish off the other 2. To handle the physical immune ghosts, I have a point placed in Vengance. Works great. The only issue I encounter is Baals mana burn breath. I have to carry potion just for that reason.

I think you are going to have a lot of fun with that build.

Great, thanks man.

Now for the question I have been asking all along, will I do any good in pub duels or duels in general? :D

vamp gaze (up'd if you prefer)

Very bad idea. Upgarde will sky-rocket the strength requirements, and VG is one of items, which can get LESS defence after upping. Dont forth it, if you ask me.

I can't answer that. I never really duel. I duel freinds on occasion, but more to test equipment. I have only made one PvP character, a blizz sorc, but again, it was used only a few times with friends.

Here is a suggestion:

Wouldn't it be easier to make 2 different characters? 1 for PvM and 1 for PvP? Instead of having to switch gear all the time. You can also customize the skill trees so each is better suited. I am no expert, but I do believe that each class would require different skill sets. Just a thought.

He's making a smiter for UT and dueling. So that is a PvP character just cause only PvP characters can handle UT.

You are right. I personally don't up vamp gaze but its an option and str shouldn't be a problem if he's using enigma. That would more than boost his str to the requirement. Just noting that it's an option if he wanted to though certainly not necessary.

And Mad, I'm sorry I forgot your a smiter so shako would work better than vamp gaze. The dual leech wouldn't help you at all but the life/mana on shako would.

But you do need to increase your fhr or you will get locked to hell. Trying adding a shael to your shako and switching your gores to treks. That would boost you over the 48% - 5 frame breakpoint though 86% is optimal but highly unlikely to reach without switching out your shield or helm. And you should do well in duels with those gears.

Thats great! Thanks a lot everyone.

Btw I'm using an upped HoZ so str is already an issue :D Its gonna cost a lot of vitality points for this build for str and dex but I reckon it wi'll be worth.

I don't think so. Because the standard smiter build is finised skill wise at lvl 80 it leaves 30 points to put into whatever I want.
