What to use?

So i'm making a uber frenzy barb and i'm thinking which weapons to use. Grief + lw or beast + lw?

hmmm greif has that guarenteed dmg that everyone loves but i think the fanat aura from beast not to mention the life boost you get if you choose to go wearbear is worth using...i have made builds where i used beast and lw so i could make the most of both auras and it worked out great...i cant remember what kind of barb it was though...imo a better question is lw or greif for a zealer or smiter...i know almost everyone goes the route of greif but the might aura from lw gives commendable dmg, im going to have to ponder on this

why insist on last wish?
my 2 cents;
grief and beast. grief is an obvious choice imo for the speed/dmg etc..
as for beast vs last wish, ar/damage/ias beats just damage (might) any day.. and crushing blow can be easily replaced in other equipment. but last wish makes a nice prebuff weapon for the fade unless you're using treachery.. =)

Last Wish is a given for ubers, against that much life all that matters for most of the fight is crushing blow; note that last wish brings 60-70% of that to the table. Also note that last wish brings fade (~11% DR and 6X% res all or something like that?) and life tap. Throw a beast on there for some additional offhand CB and + fanat, easy mode...

isnt max for CB 75% with all the other gear that u can use i dont think you need the 60 -70 % CB from LW. Depending on what other items u use you can easily get that max CB %. Grief 20% , Gores 15% and Guillames face 35% = 70% I feel there is no substitute for the damage greif gives every hit .... coupled with the fant aura from beast and frenzy skill and mastery skill along with any other % to damage your 1 hit damage can be well over 5000. Also the IAS for grief is a great bonus too. Dont get me wrong about LW but for that runeword you need 3 Jah a ber a sur and a mal i believe way too expensive where greif highest rune is LO and next is MAL way less expensive. but it is always a matter of opinion and what gear you have to best maximize your character.

If it's for ubers...you only need to focus on CB, IAS (to a point), stacked res, life tap...and enough life to get by.

LW=the uber weapon. CB/LT/res in one weapon. 3/4 of what you need for Ubers. Imagine that.

Grief is the best one hand melee weapon...but in PvM...CB is what kills.

Oh...and I believe the max for CB is 100%

I know i use grief with my zeal / fanaticism pally along with the other equip that i mentioned and that 70% CB does just fine. My pally weapon is 2 damage points away from being a perfect grief 40% ias and +398 damage ... i use it in a war spike too for more Ias. I love it .... but i just cant see spending all those high runes for that Last wish weapon.

Aside from Ubers...it's a horrible/over-expensive choice, I'll agree.

Ubers is what makes it even halfway useful.

Then again...my smiter/hdin uses Grief with 50% CB.

Well i'm using griefpb + lwpb, works out very well and I do ubers in 3m. I did it three times withouth dying once. Phase blade has an insane speed which is really good in ubers.
