What to use in ubers?

So i'm making a frenzy barb and wondering which is better to use in ubers? Last wish pb + grief pb or Lwpb + ebotdcb?

last wish or greif hands down id go into detail why but i cant remember last wish or greifs attributes off the top of my head but just use last wish and if you dont have it use greif

I am curious about this as well. I am re-rolling my frenzy barb build...again lol. I hope to do ubers with him sometime. The build that TheDominator made said to use berserker axes, why is everyone using phase blades? Is there something here I am missing? Or can I do it with grief zerker axe and BoTd zerker axe if I were to get one of those?

ahh yes. Never thought about that. I just thought repair bills were minimal worries. But if you got a bunch of high end runewords it might start to get rather expensive lol.

However doesn't EBoTD have indestructible on it? This doesn't factor in with last wish or grief by any means but would help. I myself want more dmg. I want stuff to die quicker. Gold is easy to come by. I don't mind repair bills long as they stay under 100k lol.

i believe an ort rune will repair you weapon when cubed with the weapon. i know rals repair armor and i'm pretty sure ort is for weapons. i'm too lazy to look right now though.

i made grief out of war spike and it rocks ... i use it on my zeal / fanatacism pally ... he does around 5k damage a hit .... i hit perfect 40% IAS on it too. greif is #1 weapon for frenzy barb IMO. use grief / beast combo will do massive damage with frenzy barb.

best uber weapons to use = beast zerker axe and last wish zerker axe. you cant get better results with anything else. full gear looks like this:

LW is a decent uber weapon...but too expensive to make. Death/Beast does just as well. Death/LW if you're into constant CB hits, but Death/Beast should be fine...and it helps when CB is doing minimal damage because Death has that DS mod. Granted, LW has that fade mod...but you could always have a Treachery, which costs less, to get a better fade. Or...you could stack up on resistances.

Guillaume's will further increase the CB/DS for Death/Beast, but they can survive without. Preferably Um'd. Other than that I'd use a Kira's for further res stacking.

Drac's>Steelrends...easier source of OW, more affordable way to get Life Tap than LW and you already have enough CB.

Tgod's>Trang Oul's I'm guessing you chose Trangs for the CBF, but Highlords/dual Ravens is enough AR to take ubers...and it further increases the DS. o;

Goblin Toes or Gores...either way works...nothing to say on that one.

Already explained the ammy/ring combo. Angelics is good if you can't get Highlord's/Ravens.

CoH...almost have to...gotta have about 300 res to counter Meph's conviction.

Very good points. DarkPrinceLoki is correct with the setup that he listed. I have tried nearly every combo that I could think of, plus a few things that I did not think of. The setup that DarkPrinceLoki lists is a straight up winner. I use that setup all the time and it works very well. It is the safest setup that kills fast that I have tried so far. If you don't want to drink any pots, then the setup DarkPrinceLoki listed is probably the one for you.

Omnicide makes some great points too. All the weapon combos he listed work. I have tried them all. He is also right about the helm, there are others that work also. I prefer Guillaume's with an Um due to the added CB. If you are using any weapon combo other than LW/Beast Dracs is a better choice for gloves. However, I've found that 'rends work better with LW/Beast. As far as belts I've used Tgods, Trangs, Verdungo's, and Credendum. My favorite is Trangs for CBF because I really like sporting 2 angelic rings and an angelic amulet. Highlords/Dual Ravens will work, but they don't seem to work as well as the angelics setup. He's also right about the boots, both will work. My testing has shown that more CB seems to work better so I use upped toes. He's right about CoH being great uber armor too. I haven't found anything that works better yet. If you are really poor, you can use a Griswold's with 3 Um's in it. That will work too.

In a nutshell you need your resists to be 300 (fade makes this a lot easier to reach) and as much CB as you can get. Prebuffing with Treachery works well for fade if you don't want to mess with trying to find a LW. Also, with Guillaumes and Goblin Toes you are already at 60% CB, which allows for a huge choice in weapons. Keep in mind that the CB on weapons only adds to that weapon.

I've found two scenario's that can force my barb to drink a juvie. First is if life tap doesn't cast right away when fighting Mephisto. Second is when fighting Baal and Diablo at the same time. Every once in a while the right combo of minions will be there, and I'll get mana burned in a huge group and Frenzy will not work, which in turn doesn't allow me to hit often enough to stay alive by life tapping. That doesn't happen much, but if you aren't paying attention, you may have to drink a couple juvies to stay alive. I usually just drink a mana pot and spread the crowd. This doesn't happen that often though, but is something worth mentioning.

Eh...I just get bothered with all the high end stuff. Cheaper stuff can get the job done just fine. o; It's surprising how many people break the bank just to make a character to take out ubers. D:

the only time i run into trouble is when meph's minions swarm me and i end up hitting them more than meph and meph hits me cause he's not in hit recovery lock. the angelic wings and 2x halos help with AR. If you cant hit anything, then your equipment is useless. as far as boots goblin toe or goreriders. goblin toes are easier to find, i got like 4-5 of them. I havent read his reply yet but busch should be answering that in another thread i posted in.

Highlord's/Ravens might have lower AR than Angelics...but that doesn't make them a horrible choice. Uber Meph's defese sits at 3360 and is level 110. At level 76 you have about 8.2k AR from Highlord's/Ravens and about 17k from Angelics. The final difference in hit percent? 5% difference. Highlord's hits 29% and Angelics hits 34%. Considering Highlord's hits a lot harder than Angelics...I think that makes it a viable choice...far from making the rest of your equipment "useless".

Personally I've found more Gores and Toes...I REALLY suck at finding the low level items. ._.;
