I wanna make a hammerdin cause it sounds fun but I only play single player and it's tough not having a decent move until level 18. Has anyone done a single player hammerdin?:(

you can always shop for scepters with +might or +holy fire and attack normally or zeal (if you don't mind investing those 2 points). getting to level 18 shouldn't be a problem in SP thanks to the /players 8 feature. once you get to level 18 and have access to BH, it'll still be a bit slow due to the lack of mana. so you'll still have to combine melee and casts.
as for gear, here's my end game SP hammerdin (i play rwm, hence the spirit)
harlequin crest
skin of vipermagi
t-gods
upped magefists
waterwalks
wizardspike
spirit shield
rare +skills ammy
2x soj
the more expensive items each have their own viable alternatives of course =)

Its applicable to single player only, You can hit enter on a non-bnet game type /players x (x= 1-8) and it sets the game as if there were x players. Making the monsters with more life and overall better stats themselvs. Typically if you start a new game with players = 8 you can be at 18 easily before the first act is over. It gives you more exp/kill as the monsters are tougher.

Hammerdins are extremely dependant on gear, and obviously gear is harder to get in Single Player. If you've got the wealth and your only problem is getting from level 1-18, go for it because it's not the best idea to plan a char for the first stages.
In SP you should be able to get to lvl 20 before leaving Act 1, even some basic twinking should get you through. A spirit sword and shield, a vipermagi and a harly are all you need really. A +2 ammy and a few skillers and you're set really. I pated my hammerdin with this equipment /players8 until hell and /player3 after, sure I wasn't doing 15+ K damage, but even at 8K it was still a piece of piss.
Edit: a crystal spirit sword and a spirit Aerin shield have a lvl requirement of 25, you can stick an insight scythe on a merc at lvl 27, I think the requirements are okay. BTW if you don't need inventory space for resists, AR, mana or HP, what else can you put there?

for hammerdins it is a total waste if u r looking to conserve money. their requisites are all spread out so it is hard to get a good dmg bonus. unlike a light sorc where her skill gcs do alot.
