Eth Cryptic Axe?

How do i find it? or where is the best place to find it.

I want to socket it with a "insight" runeword and give it to the merc.

I have found a ethereal Stygian pike and it has no sockets but can i use the socket quest to sock it with 4 sockets or does it have to be just "normal"?

Stygian pike: 43-216 dmg

Btw, how much dmg does a cryptic axe if they are eth?

Be careful-eth Cryptic axe gets 5 sockets. I have found mine all on way to throne. I used cube recipe and got lucky with 4os.

Yeah i know, but does the eth stygian pike get 4 sockets when it is eth?

I like to run the pits for socketed items ... found almost all my good open socket weapons there. i dont think the etheral part has anything to do with how many sockets u can get in it ... that just depends on your roll when u cube it.

Btw i should probably mention that you can't make insight in a spear class weapon. Meaning this runeword can't be made in your pike. It can only be made in a polearm class weapon or staves.

Taught that it was classed as polearm :D thanks for the info, it would have been a waste otherwise :D
