Frenzy Barb-Berserker Barb

Hey, I'm probably gonna go with a Frenzy, but I just want to ask. Which would probably be better for PvM? I dont care about PvP at all, I just like doing ridiculous amounts of damage.

Whirlwind barb perhaps?

I guess Frenzy + Berserk is pretty good too. That allows you to deal with physical immunes too.
I`m no barb expert, just sounds good

I mean like should I make a Frenzy Barb, or a Berserker Barb. Ive seen really good builds for both of them, but I want to know which is better, in your guys' opinion, for PvM.

my 2cents.

with the right weapon, you'll be able to kill monsters with one-hit. since it's magic damage, there are only a few monsters that are immune/resistant. problem is, you're a single target killer ie it'll take some time to clear mobs.

as for frenzy, you'll take down mobs pretty quickly. you'll also travel pretty fast. generally, your single attack damage may be considerably lower than berserk, but you'll be hitting faster and more frequently. problem is, there are also considerably more PIs in hell in addition to the general monsters' higher physical resistance.

so, the question is, what is your playstyle like?
if you're the type that likes to hit slow but hard, proficient at crowd controls, then a berserker is for you,

if you prefer rushing into the action, clear mobs asap, then a frenzier's for you =)

frenzy with a point in beserk. the rest of your +plus skill gear will bring it up enough to deal with the physical immunes.

Barbs don't even really get all that high on the damage side, considering what you have to put into them. Check out my lightning sorc guide for a great max damage char, or look for a fury/cs zon guide in the amazon build guides section. The best build for pvm is hdin, which can also achieve a **** load of damage.

he's asking for opinions on a frenzy or berserker in a barbarian forum.. sure casters have potentially more damage, but i think he currently has a barb in mind..

Well i was just giving him some other better options becuase he said he really only cares about a lot of damage.....

Sorry, I just worded that wrong. I like damage among the barbarian class. Im not very good at handling magic classes as much as I am at handling classes like Barbarians, or any physical class. I'll probably use your build for when I do make a Sorc. Thanks though.
