What class is good to start with?

My suggestions are summoner,werewolf and frenzy u can suggest more for me..aight?

Summoners are fun as hell. You just have to be patient with them sometimes.

I've made an habbit to always make a Blizzard sorc as a starter to farm Hell Meph with. Works super when using the Mephisto Moat Trick :)

There is other ways to go though, but I would strongly recommend either a Blizz Sorc, a Fishymancer or a Lightning Trapper (As Jordan recommended.)

i would either go blizz sorc, hdin, and maybe a summoner but hard to use once you start fighting diablo without semi decent gear. ill probably get some crap for saying hdin but even a poor hdin deals out excellent CONSISTANT dmg that can take down any monster in the game as long as you have decent resistance

Fishys are nice to start with but I'd suggest to start with a sorc (Blizz or Meteorb) simply because they are faster at MF.

I`ll tell you this:

Make a Smiter. They are cheap and can slay D clone alone. If you get to lvl it, and get some mid-lvl gear, you can start hunting D clone, and that way get Annihilus`es. Imo that`s one of the fastest way to get rich.

The char I started out with was a barbarian biggist mistake I ever made ever since then I've disliked barbs until my recently made ww barb but id say make a jav zon they deal good damage and even kill light immunes :O

fishymancer = skellymancers with maxed corpse explosion that is also a safe character that can go through hell difficulty even with crappy gear.

nightfish made a great guide utilising those skills + recommending tactics that are comprehensive for any beginners, hardcore players etc alike. this build is certainly worthy of his name.

Im now level 24 and i went act2 all the way by /players 8 i think it was easy :p

Now im gonna start act3 and if anyone have Aokl and Homunkulus i can discuss for its price (can give free too :D )

A Smiter is a terrible start character. Since you probably are poor equipped and you have to enter close combat when fighting monsters, Hell will tear you apart.

A sorceress is always a great starting character, because they don't need the runeword enigma to teleport, which can be extremely usefull in magic find runs. Try a meteorb sorc.

just about all skellymancers use maxed corpse explosion. so yeah a fishymancer = skellymancer. all summoner necros are safe (unless ur just retarded and run straight into the mob of monsters). and all are cheap on gear, i made a summoner that soloed hell CS and Throne with 3 other ppl waiting in town. you know what his equipment was?

wormskull (easy to find, found it myself)
hawkmail (diablo drops these like hot cakes)
Frostburn (found it off of meph)
sander's riprap (found in a cow run)
and everything else was rares made/recieved from quests

tell me that isnt cheap. so once again fishymancer = skellymancer, there is no difference.

Im now level 28 i went act3 all the way /players 8 it was a bit tougher than act 2 but not impossible. Tomorrow im gonna beat act4 by /players 8.

If any1 have some necro items we can discuss for price (Can give free too :P )

biggest problem with summoners is when your in act 4 facing diablo and his fire circle thing...i would probably have a hundred fishymancers if it wasnt for that damn fire circle so i warn you now fin, your probably gonna die...or go through alot of mana in the cold plains when you REresurrect ur skellies a few times. i got stuck on diablo with my last fishymancer and ended up getting aggrivated to the point of not playing him anymore b/c my golem was **** and my merc was pathetic thanx to that stupid fire circle...

Not really, v1.11b skellies are tough, together with a might merc, armed with hone sundan with shael amn amn and Guillaume's Face, and a slay golem, of course, with ice skele mages, diablo can hardly even move an inch!

Hone Sundan 45% Curshing blow + Guillaume's face 35% CB + Shael Amn amn attack speed with life leeches + Claw Goelm slow + Ice skele Mages slow + merc's might aure + possible corpses nearby for CE + as many skellies with skeleton masteries maxed = diablo died in seconds.

I had a fishy and spam CE while my army did the dirty job and take down /players 5 hell diablo in a minute.

I feel pity and luagh at the same time to see hell diablo and hell baal so helplessly shattered in pieces of ice :D

maybe normal diablo. nm/hell should be ok since you've practically got the necessary maxed skills to easily take him out.

I think that you need blood golem more than clay becouse blood golem works same like life tap

edit:+ ur skeleton dont hurt from iron maiden so much or dont even hurt

The Blood Golem is rarely used today as the other ones are far more powerful. And skeletons are hurt by iron maiden and they die rather fast if you've pushed their dmg high enough.
