Ok so everyone knows the /players x command used to simulate extra players in the game. its a built in chat command and as far as i can tell its not considered cheating by the SP community.
but today i have come to enlighten the few who dont know about the 2nd game enhancing command. whether it's considered a cheat or not by the SP players is up to them, and all this does is provided even faster lvling than the /players x command can do.
Right click on your Diablo II desktop icon/Shortcut. Left click on the one named properties, and when the taskbar pops up click on shortcut. Look in the area labeled Target. It should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe"
now what you want to do is click after the " at the end of the line, hit spacebar and type
-actx
where x is a number 1-5. it should look like this for example:
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -act4
now next time you open up diablo 2 and create a new character it will instantly become a certain lvl based on which act you selected. you will also start in that act, but you will have to go back to act 1 to do any quests.
-act1 Create a new level 1 character in Act1.
-act2 Create a new level 16 character in Act2.
-act3 Create a new level 21 character in Act3.
-act4 Create a new level 27 character in Act4.
-act5 Create a new level 33 character in Act5.
have fun, and yes you get all the stat and skill points you would have, as if you had never used them.
