Melee SP VS Hell Mode

Is it even possible for Melee Character (Single Player ONLY) finish the Hell Mode alone? If yes, which class?

All the class, depends on how you spent your skill and stats points, and your gear. :)

1. yes. some takes longer than others. but most of the time, any character you make is mat/pat-able =)

2. paladins should be a little easier due to less dependency on equipment should you go holy shock/freeze route.

I've almost always completed all difficulties solo with all my chars, and a Zealer does the job easily! And I've never made a holy shock/freeze Zealer! Fanaticism all the way + the right gear ofc! A Phaseblade/Azurewrath takes out any immunes. And all the life steal you can get is also an important thing!

to kill fast, yes. not necessarily raw weapon damage, but a nice mix of damage, crushing blow, deadly strike and open wounds is always nice for any melee builds.

as for PIs, there are a number of ways to counter them. any amp/decrep charges/ctcs can effectively rid most PIs.

there are also some good backup skills to counter PIs as well, ie barb's berserk, paladin's elemental auras/sanctuary etc..

... Or as I wrote - Phase Blade/Azurewrath! :) My Zealer could take out any enemy, no matter what Immune they had!

True, but you must consider that Azurewrath is tough to come by.

To be precise..A poor Melee class...What should they do? Camping at NM more until they find uber item?

not only azurewrath is hard to come by, the lvl85 requirement is a pretty huge setback. most would almost complete the game by that level..

as for cheap weapons, look out for those juicy 1.09 runewords. old but certainly gold.

steel to start out with.
progress with strength.
complete the game with either honor or black.

other than those above, crescent moon/duress costs an um. so a lucky HF drop can certainly help you there =)

Well as the classes go, a hammerdin dont have hardly any immunities, but any zealer could have say Holy shock and Holy freeze, thats 2 elements that could be used + physical damage. so in that way he could kill anything.

Necro always has amplify damage and decrypt. both remove PI, Also a good supply of various elemental revives are always handy as well as mages, at least early stage mages.

Sorceress, i always go dual sorc for pvm. You still have trouble however if the creature has immunities to both elements, but then the merc can possibly take them down. with a little pot help at times.

assassins and druids im not sure of cause i dont have lod,

Amazons bow you got 2 elements and physical damage along with magical damage, so tahts 4 possible ways to kill
with javazon, only thing that would really hurt is a PI/Lightning, however a few points in poison and a velk that spawns with elemental damage can usually take them out.

Barbarians as stated above berzerk.

^^ True... And that's why I now can see that I've wrote Phase Blade and not Lightsabre/Azurewrath! :) Lightsabre does the work just as good as Azurewrath. Just not as fast!
