Skill Editor Question

Is there any good skill editor on the net? Any recommendation?

Because I am playing offline alone and my character screwed up for the skill tree...I am bit lazy to re-train my character...so I guess I have no choice except use Editor.

There are a few out there, problem is a lot of times if you use em to mess with a existing character, the files get corrupted. Google something up and see what you can get. BACKUP those files before you mess with them

but i do have to say that this is very much looked down upon. At least as far as i know. It is cheating after all.

But i know the mod PlugY can do the job for you if you insist to do it.

Rather than cheat why don't you actually play the game and re-build. It doesn't take that long.

Its against the rules to link directly, but that should do the trick.

yes, and then it will be no fun because you'll KNOW you tainted your character and are untrustworthy

just use plugy or make a new character
characters don't take very low to make if you have some1 just HF rush you
or join an active hamachi network

i agree with this lot in saying that i frown on these frikin editors...but either ay you gonna use one so...its my understanding that the udie2 (or something like that) is one of the simplest to install and use...and apparently you can do most of the same item editing as the hero editor

IIRC Udie2 dont have a hex editor as in Zonefire.

How is it not bad? It doesn't work that way. The people in the singleplayer forum that ARE legit, would like to keep it that way. If he does that, and then trades items to one of us that was found using the character he corrupted, then we would have to delete any character that item came into contact with.

My characters are pure, and I would like to keep it that way. I guess this is just another reason why I should only trade with Skull, and a few others.

Just so you know the only thing i use is atma, RRM and RWM but any editors or maphacks or other cheats of the like i dont use at all. Dont have anything for trade now as i dont have any very good items. However for the future just lettin ya know:)

i had zonfire a while back and couldnt figure out how to use the stupid thing so i gave up on editors all together and stuck to pure/legit characters

A character is considered tainted when:

- They are opened in a hero editor.

- They have a hacked item in possesion.

- They get in contact with an character who uses hacked items.

- They enter a random game in open Battle.net.

pookie the only one of those that is credible is possessing a hacked item. as long as you dont change anything, who cares if you open ther char in an editor, as long as you dont trade anything who cares if you come into contact with someone who uses hacks, and that last one kind of applies to entering a random game

Most of the forumites on most of the SP forums would agree with me on those points. I guess the forum that set those "rules" were the rather huge SP community at Diabloii.net. I follow these rules since I think they make sense (Dont ask me how though. They just do). If you want a good explanation on why its like this, maybe you should ask the mods of the SP forum at Diabloii.
