ATMA Problems!!! :(

I dunno what's wrong with my ATMA!

It's been acting very weird for a couple of days! I have to re-install it every time I'll use it, and some times, even that isn't enough! It opens fine, but I can't click on anything! Not even close the program. I have to right-click on it in the process line and close it that way! I think I've installed it more than 20 times now, and after a few click it just "dies"!!

Can anyone please help me!?

Perhaps you RAM problem? ATMA is a small program. Your pc should be able to open it.

I have used it for weeks without any problems, and it works sometimes it still works right after I've re-installed it... So I don't think it have anything to do with my computer! It's like a Trial version that works for about a minute or two! :)

Hehe... Yes, it ACTS like it was a Trial! Don't think there's a Trial version of a free program! :)

I can transfer a few items, if I'm lucky, then everything stops working! :(

Another dumb question from me, but you do have the latest version don't you? Version 5.05? I know that the "special" keys caused a few problems in the earlier versions.

Yessir! I've downloaded the latest version several times!... And as I wrote I have used ATMA for weeks with no problems! It just suddenly died, and it seems like it can't be revived! ATMA is one of the reasons why I want back to SP!

Hmmm... Maybe my computer IS the problem!? I can't Drag and Drop icons on my desktop either!? Is it possible to "turn off" drag and drop? It doesn't answer the question why NOTHING work in ATMA, but maybe... I have a 3 year old daughter who sometimes sneaks in and press all buttons on my keyboard and mouse. Maybe she have pressed something!? :)

EDIT: I've tried to use an other mouse, but I still can't drag any icons!?

are your stashes/items the same version? this is all that i can think of.. =P
afaik, items won't drag into stashes that are of different patch/version.. check out the atma help thread over at the SPF in dii.net.. =)

You cant drag and drop on windows.... thats probablywhy atma is messing up too cause its all drag and drop. I havnt ran into that kind of problem working on computers as i do. Othrwise id let you know how to fix it. How long has it been since you did a fresh windows install?

It's not long ago! 1-2 months! And with "drag and drop" in windows I mean to move around icons! F.ex. move an icon from desktop to recycle bin, or put it in a folder! I know I can right-click and copy/paste, but I could "drag and drop" before... Do I really have to "format" my harddrive (dunno what it's called in english?!?! :)) again?

Possibly you might, Something like that is a windows software problem. You might be able to fix it by going to microsoft diagnostics and all that and download a few things. Sometimes that helps. but outside of that, unless you know how to make regestry keys and programing and such, yea reformat would be about your only solution after attempting the above.

Have you tried to google your windows drag and drop problem? I'm pretty sure you'll find a forum or another page where someone had the same problem and got some suggestions how to solve it.

It's ATMA that starts the problem! When I restart my computer, everything works fine. Then I open ATMA, use it a minute, ATMA dies, and now I can't drag and drop i Windows!?

I've just formated my computer again... I'm about to install Dia and ATMA now... I really hope it works!

Reformat and install is not something i like to do but sometimes has to be done. Just a long process that i hate. Hope it works out for you.
