I Dont mean to be smart or anything but you are connected online while tryign to connect to bnet. 2nd You may need to reset your modem. Sounds strange but sometimes it actually works. Also Your modem itself may be blockign the connection. Sometimes they can do that, but thats typically cable modems that do, ive not knowen too many from dsl that does. You would have to contact your provider for more info on that. A lot of roughters will do that too for security purposes. If your connected via router then that may be your problem. You would have to change some settings to allow bnet to come threw. 56k ive never seen cause an issue like that. but thats all i got sry...

Ya sounds like a router problem to me, try to set your router to open shared. Can you surf the net fine? you could have ports closed that you need open which you can change on your router setting screen as well. TCP Port 6112 and Port 4000 should be open. Some firewall programs have preset ports available in their configurations that are often necessary to be open. One is a connection to your DNS server. This takes place on UDP port 53. Go to this link for more information on how to open the appropriate ports for your proxy or firewall:
