patch_d2.mpq errors

ive been having trouble with my diablo game ive used peoples advice to get it installed

but now i cant play it because of and error inthe Patch_D2.mpq file

does anyone know how to fix this

ive already tried uninstalling deleting all files and reinstalling but no luck

Yes go here http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20758&rhtml=true download the right one for you machine. Then just copy and paste it in your diablo files and overwrite your current patch_D2.mpq.

and it says i have a better patch but theres none higher there

Well sorry, but your best bet now would be to just buy a fresh copy of D2, because, somthing is not getting properly installed. It is really cheap now especially if you buy on amazon.
