last wish or death

i have a frenzy barb and plan on using axe mastery. i'm going to use botd in one hand but am undecided on the other. i want to use either death or last wish, but am not sure which one will work best. has anyone used either of these before, and if so, do you have any suggestions. i was also thinking famine for the magic damage against physical immunes. any input would be appreciated. thanks.

I've never really used Last Wish but I'm a fan of Death. However, I've never used either on a Barb but even though I like Death, Last Wish is pretty handy for PvM (mainly Fade/Life Tap).

Last wish and death are good but beast's fanaticism aura will help alot. even with only 20% crushing blow, beast with botd fast attacks should be sufficient anyways.

uhh it depends..if ur going 2 uber alot use lastwish..if ur going 2 be a pvp barb w/e use death.

I've used both Death and Last Wish and they are both excellent weapons. I'd say go with Last wish for the Might aura and the crushing blow.

Don't go with Last Wish, go with Death, If possible go with Beast. Last wish is good for Ubering because of Fade, Life Tap, Crushing Blow. But, Last Wish has a mod called, Hit Blinds Target. So when Life tap goes off on Last Wish or any other curse, it is canceled if you hit it and is replaced with the Dim Vision curse. THIS WILL HAPPEN IF LAST WISH LANDS A HIT ON A TARGET AND IS TRUE TO ALL EXCEPT BOSSES. So, If your going to go ubering, dont hit anything other than the Ubers

the answer is last wish. First off, you get might aura, DO NOT use beast, that is a waste, if u want to get fantacism you get an act 1 merc and equip her with faith (beast only has lvl 9 fant, faith has 13) you need a good bow merc for your barb anyway...

now you have might AND fant boosting your damage while you have botd and last wish doing crushing blow

the answer is last wish, i am fully ready to argue against anyone who disagrees with me.While I agree that Last Wish is a good Uberer weapon, it's not the only option for a barb. Truth is there are MANY. Frenziers CAN use Death, and any barb can even use a Ber'd weapon for that huge amount of CB, although that's REALLY a last ditch effort.

First off, you get might aura, DO NOT use beast, that is a waste,Might only adds damage, Fanaticism adds damage, IAS (for non WW) AND AR, which is why people choose it. Plus...Beast is the best sidearm on a barb as far as what it offers you...hands down. Plus Beast has enough CB to handle Ubers when combined with other CB sources like Guillaume's and Gores.

For frenzy ubers you're best off with a source of CB as your main weapon and Beast as your sidearm. Most go Last Wish because of all the godly little stats on it, but just the expense of making (legit) is difficult with six HRs. I suggest Death and Beast on PvM frenziers. Reason being that Death's normally horrid lack of IAS isn't as big a problem with Frenzy...since it'll boost your IAS to extremely high levels, anyway. Beast for the Fana which gives more than Might, OW since Prevent Monster Heal doesn't work on Ubers and 20% CB to compliment the automatic 50% CB from Death. 70% CB right there from the weapons...and if you're going to brag that LW you could have more CB...it really doesn't matter much considering A) how fast you hit with frenzy and B) 50% CB is enough for Ubers...any more and you're just looking to brag. Death gives 20% bonus to AR AND....it has a percent to DS per level. This means you have .5% to 49.5% chance of having a deadly strike. That's more than you could hope for with BotD/LW even IF your merc survived ubers.

The Fade on LW only means something to a barb if you're horrible at stacking resistances. 125 res stacked should be relatively easy for a barb. I can stack a cool 300 on mine...so I know 125 isn't hard to achieve.

And that's what a real barb user has to say about all this.

but 6 high runes vs a shoppable magic wand from drognan...

i just prefer practicality.. =)

edit: even dracul's grasp is a better alternative imo. it even comes with a "free prevent monster regen" mod ie ow.

As far as practicality and cost go...a LT wand, hell even Drac's is easier to deal with than LW.

Another, pretty simple, reason I chose Death on Frenziers over LW.
