i have my CD key and it works
but my CD is broke (thanksfriends for stepping on it before i installed)

so i downloaded a version off a site so i wouldnt have to buy another CD and my CD key works for it but it still asks me to insert CD to install even though i have the instal files saved on my computer so what do i do.

Well if you don't have the installation discs there is nothing you can really do, whenever you install a pc game most of the time not all the files get installed on your computer. (This is why you still need the play disc) After the install however, in Diablos case, you just need to copy and paste the video and speech files that are on the play disc to your hard dive, you also need a Virtual CD Emulator. Also it gets rather tricky if your playing online, thanks to the patches that are released, unless you have a little programming knowledge:cool:. They also have 3rd party programs that I would NOT recomend using. Like you said though, your disc is broken so your probably better off just buying a new one. Diablo is pretty cheap now anyway.

You could always download a torrent then mount it to a virtual drive. Thats what I had to do and it works fine for me. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links to sites like that, so PM me if you want the site that I got it from.

Just to let you know it had all the Diablo CDs (Install, Play, Cinematics, Expansion) and it was about a 2 GB file.
