The magic finding summoner is an alternative to the other magic finding characters like the sorceress or hammerdin. He uses his minions to slice threw hell bosses easily and withouth even caring about the immunes.

3) Skills
Summoning Skills:
Skeleton Mastery: Max it out, a must for your summoner, adds life, damage and other vital stats for your summons.
Raise Skeletal: Your main minion, you want to max this too.
Raise Skeletal Mage: Up to you to max it or leave it at 1 point.
Clay Golem: Look at Iron Golem.
Golem Mastery: Leave it at 1 or put 5 points in it if you want a stronger Iron Golem.
Iron Golem: Iron Golem can help a lot, I would recommend it more than Clay Golem, he is stronger, more defense, more damage and can use any items.
Revive: Adding skill points will just add how many minions you can summon, so it is up to you to justify if you want more minions or just depend on your +skill gear.
All rest of the summoner skills put 1 point in, except for fire golem.
Poison and Bone skills:
Corpse Exploision: A must for a summoner, 10 points will give you 10 yards with the gear I recommended in white.
Bone Armor: You melee absortion skill, 1 point in here, more benefits from synergies.
Bone Wall: Can help to cover you up, great synergy, put 10 points in it.
Bone Prison: Same as wall, 10 points.

Weapon:
For here you have quite a lot of options.
Heart of the Oak (Runeword) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/items/1-10-runewords/1-10-runewords/heart-of-the-oak-runeword.html). Heart of the Oak also called HOTO will give you a nice +3 skills, 40fcr :) and some resist (30-40).
Arm of King Leoric (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/weapons/wands/uniques/items/exceptional/arm-of-king-leoric.html). The best wand for a summoner, look at the link and you will say oooooooo:eek:.
Ali Baba (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/weapons/uniques/swords/items/exceptional/blade-of-ali-baba.html). The Ali baba is a great alternative for your mf summoner, with 2 ist at lvl90 it can give you 140mf!
On switch use Call to Arms (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/items/1-10-runewords/1-10-runewords/call-to-arms-runeword.html). Call to arms is world wide used, gives you a +bo skill (1-6) which grants you a life and mana boost.
Shield:
Homunocolus (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/necromancer/items/class-specific/homunculus.html). This shield is the one you need to reach max block, one of the best necro shield to use. Mostly all summoners use this.
Splendor (Runeword) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/items/1-10-runewords/1-10-runewords/splendor-runeword.html). A runeword for less poor people, it gives itself 25mf + other decent stats.
Lidless Wall (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/shields/items/exceptional/armor/lidless-wall.html).
Most casters use this as a lower end gear, still a great shield, but no mf.
Sigon's Guard (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/sets/items/classic-and-expansion-sets/sigon-s-complete-steel.html). For the poorests of the poorest, sigon's guard gives you +1 skill.
On switch use either Spirit monarch (Runeword) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/ladder-only/items/1-10-runewords/spirit-runeword.html), Lidless wall or sigon's guard.
Rings and Amulet:
You main rings for a magic finder should always be a pair of nagelrings (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/rings/items/nagelring.html).
Stone of Jordan (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/rings/items/stone-of-jordan.html), if you want to use it, go ahead.
For the Amulet, the best choice would be a + necromancer skill amulet with magic finding.
Other choice would be Mara's Kaleidoscope (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/amulets/mara-s-kaleidoscope.html) or Eye of Etlich (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/amulets/the-eye-of-etlich.html).

If you want you can get some summoning grand charms. But do not fill up your inventory, you won't be able to pick up the items.
The perfect total magic finding should be 270mf or higher.
6) Merc Gear
The idea merc for this should be holy freeze, excelent crowd control. If you want your minions to do even more damage, go for might merc.
Merc Weapon:
Pride (Runeword) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/ladder-only/items/1-10-runewords/pride-runeword.html). Pride is the best merc runeword you can get, it gives concentration which amplifies your minions damage quite well.
Weapons to use until you obtain one should have these mods: - Target Defense, Crushing Blow, Leech Life, Prevent Monster Heal, Slows Target. A Great and cheap choice would be the unique yari Hone Sudan, it has good mods and comes with 3 open sockets, which can be used to add mods you want. Another good choice is the Spire of Honor (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/weapons/uniques/spears/items/exceptional/spire-of-honor.html) or Bonehew (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/weapons/uniques/polearms/items/elite/bonehew.html) with 2 perfect skulls..
Merc Armor:
Fortitude (Runeword) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/runewords/ladder-only/items/1-10-runewords/fortitude-runeword.html). The best armor for a merc, gives 300% damage, nice armor if it is eth and other great stats!
Guardian Angel (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/exceptional/chest/armor/guardian-angel.html) or Duriel's Shell (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/exceptional/chest/armor/duriel-s-shell.html) These 2 armors are pretty good for you merc.
Merc Helm:
Andariel's Visage (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/helms/elite/armor/andariel-s-visage.html). This helm is the best to my eyes, it has 20ias, resist if umd, good defense.
Vampire Gaze (Item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/uniques/items/helms/exceptional/armor/vampire-gaze.html). Also a great helm, have a nice bonus of damage reduction and life leech.
Tal Rasha's Helm (Set item) (http://www.diablo2.com/article/sets/items/expansion-only-sets/tal-rasha-s-wrappings-sorceress.html). The 3rd best choice for him, resist, life, and life leech.
Remember, eth items DO NOT break on a merc, so go for them.
6) Tips and Tricks
Here is the part where you learn how to use your magic finding summoner and how to kill each bosses.
First you need to control your minions, with enigma you will be able to teleport which gives you the oportunity to put your minions in a pile on you. For example, you want to kill a monster, teleport on top on him, cast amplify damage then run and let your minions kill him. You can do the same with a town portal, simply go in and out and your minions should be around you.
First thing before going to kill everything, you need to gather your minions. Cast your clay or iron golem then go outside of act1 into blood more and kill some monsters, enough to get an army of skeletons.
Countess:
Get to black marsh, kill or teleport to the tower. Then you can either teleport to her to kill everythin in the way, if you don't have enigma or your just lazy, go direcly to her. At the level 5, clear everything with corpse exploision, and on the countess army, just wait 1 of the monsters dies then spam corpse exploision. All will be dead in a mather of seconds.
Andariel:
Same as Countess, teleport or fight to catacombs level 4. While teleporting with your minions, you may notice they are the ones taking the damage :D, that's perfect. At cata level 4 kill everything so your minions don't go away while ganking andariel. Cast amplify damage on her, teleport on top of her than run away. Let the minions do the rest.
Summoner:
Teleport to him, teleport on top of him, kill him and use corpse exploision to clear everything.
Mephisto:
Teleport or fight to Mephisto (durance lvl3). Arriving at Durance 3, I strongly recommend you killing everything in your way, with the help of corpse exploision. Stay away while your minions are tanking the monsters.
Chaosing:
Revive and Spam corpse exploision. Go to town if you got iron maiden on your minions.
Frigid Highland:
Very easy, let you minions do the killing and use corpse exploision as a chain reaction kill.
Nithalak:
Hardest of them all. Carfully teleport to there, when at nithalak, teleport on one of the corners. Right when you see a dead body, spam the HELL OUT OF corpse exploision. He will be dead in a few seconds.
Baal:
Try reviving everything you can, the more the minions you have the faster everything will go down. If there is souls, hide in corners and let your minions kill them, then revive them. Use corpse exploision to clear areas.
