mines a lvl83 bo zerker, everything else doesnt stay alive more than 24-48hr unfortunately =(

got to lvl 18 in hardcore then a sorc cast a bunch or lightning then hosteled me and i died in the cow lvl then they quit right after..........

so i guess its possible to duel out of town in hardcore or no?

Well, after countless keyruns and torch collecting in SC, I made the move to HC. I managed to get a Light Sorc up to 46 so far without dying.
I play mostly in pub games so I can level faster. I couldn't even tell you how many times I have been hostiled. I just stay alert and see who is coming into the game.
I play on West and there doesn't seem to be that many players around. After playing for a bit you learn real fast who to avoid.
My gear is the worst. I had to buy most of it from Akara and Fara. So far, I have had only 1 unique drop. The Nightsmoke belt from Duriel. I always thought HC dropped better.

then you have to be REALLY fast, and minimizing the game, ctrl+alt+delete, open task manager and ending D2 isnt done quick enough i think. and even if you did its cheating. you didnt beat the game without dying so yea....

It is easier to just save the d2s file in your D2 folder for playing in SP. If you die, just replace the d2s file and you can continue from a save point, per se.

I'm not sure cancelling the game with the task manager will work in online play as the games saves even if you get disconnected. Again, using that logic, all you would have to do is alt-tab, (or use the 'windows' key), and right click on the task bar to close the game.

And, yes, technically, it's cheating. The objective to "beating" HC is to not die. If you die then use a work-around to continue playing, then you didn't "beat" the game.

Hey you guys just go to meeting grounds and form a group in HC. I did and we are all doing well in a private game. Pigeon is in it and we are all around lvl 17-19 starting today.

I got a lvl 19 summoner and a level 18 Trap sin. All started today.

I've managed to make it to lvl 63. Still have embarassing crummy gear. I was finally able to put an Insight together for the merc, at least mana won't be an issue. I'm just sandbagging in act 5. I won't even think about the ancients till I'm 65 or better.

I didn't have loot on and lost some pretty cool stuff. 3 nado helm, viper, spirit and other stuff. And an elemental skiller :(
